They still can make pretty cool looking warlocks, my warlock is a belf with bright green glowing eyes s
Well, we don’t know what the new recruits do go through. But I’d much rather they keep the void nature as part of their thing even if it’s not as pronounced anymore, I feel like they’re best with at least some features that would elicit a double take. They’re almost outsiders, they have so much fun potential with that.
I respect your opinion. I think players that want to be voided out of course need that option for void elves. I am liking the natural options though and believe they should be expanded upon, especially for my mage who I much rather resemble Alleria in terms of her appearance.
Oh yea, human wins it out for me though when it comes to that. Green eyes just aren’t enough for me to consider it.
Human warlocks are very classic. Especially with the new customization features coming for them. You can make some really neat looks.
Void streaks are actually a great idea as an option as they can help reinforce Void Elf identity, but having to have them present is like having to have the DK skins to use the DK hair.
There’s no reason to forcibly bake them into hair colors.
This would be cool too, giving Blood Elves the option to have light or fel energy run through their hair, akin to the Nightborne.
They never consumed Fel.
Their eyes changed due to fel radiation from the fel crystals they used to power their buildings.
Look above I found that out lol
ah, I must have missed it while I was skimming.
So tired of seeing that non-truth.
Lol it’s a common misconception I guess. I heard a lot of other people say that too which is why I thought it was the case.
If high elves left the blood elves and didn’t siphon magic to sate their addiction In BC, how come they didn’t all turn into withered? What did they do to remain high elves?
Withered are the Nightborne who transformed due to the lack of Arcwine.
Wretched are actually the opposite in where they are Blood Elves and High Elves who improperly indulge themselves with mana. Other magical items or explosions can turn them into Wretched as well.
They’re similar concepts with similar names so it’s easy to mix them up.
While Blood Elves fed off of magical creatures(and fel prior to the retcon), the High Elves meditated and fed off of magical items for the most part. The High Elves of Dalaran are implied to have had the easiest time out of either Blood Elves or High Elves as there was plenty of magical support. Meanwhile the Elves of Quel’lithian and Qual’danil abstained from Arcane consumption altogether, with the former not even touching the Arcane and the latter being turned to Wretched by a cursed artifact.
Wow, that makes a lot more sense now. Thanks!
This is incorrect…
They didn’t all consume Fel, but Magisters draining Fel Crystal’s are still in Silvermoon right now. Liadrin uses a little fel crystal in one of the novellas as well.
But the Fel Crystal’s they used to keep Silvermoon from crumbling exposed everybody to Fel whether or not you were snorting it from fel crystals and off leper gnomes or not.
The blood elves as a people never consumed fel.
Which was directly implied in my words.
This is why they have green eyes.
That some of them may or may not have consumed fel magic has no bearing on why their peoples eyes are green.
You said, “They never consumed Fel.”
That’s obviously false. You can disprove that walking through Silvermoons gates and taking a right turn.
Someone reading this, who doesn’t know the lore, might take you at your word that they have never consumed fel.
They didn’t all consume fel, but you can’t even say with any degree of confidence that most of them didn’t consume fel.
Which as a people they did not.
Individual cases are inmaterial.
The lie is that the blood elves have their green eyes because they consumed fel.
According to blizzard, yes I can. Most of them never consumed fel.
A very few may have. A smaller few did.
Well it makes sense. Alleria is blonde, so the rest of VEs should have the option to go blonde and/or white hair too.
If hypothetically we were talking population I wonder if the population of BEs in question are larger or smaller than the HEs on Alliance. But that’s just me being messy since I’m tired of peoples anti BE takes, I’m happy the wayfarers are getting to be played by people myself included.
Either way since population arguments aren’t the best I think your original statement was accurate and sound considering that is Blizzards overall take on Blood Elves which is what you stated.
Cal is just being nitpicky.
Which is amusing because being that way on this will give those unaquainted with the lore the impression that blood elves do as a whole consume Fel. The exact opposite of what he implies he was contending me for.
In either case the idea that the blood elves consume Fel is false.
Aye. Blizzard said it several times. There is no contending it.
