High Elf Customization Thread (Legacy of the Quel'Dorei)

I wouldn’t want the racials tied to what skin colors we choose. With Alleria and the recent Void Elf NPC’s added to Telogrus sporting a mix of typical and voidy skin and hair colors, Blizzard has established that Void Elves don’t need to look like the initial batch of void elves at launch and still be Void Elves.

Personally, I’d like to see racial customization for all races become a barbershop option where possible. I have no objection to arcane themed racials as a customization option to fill the High Elf fantasy, I’d just prefer it to be selectable at the barber and not be tied to skin color.

I really look forward to that cuz i always like seeing elves in the game, doubly so if they’re high elves. Hopefully they don’t mess it up.

That’s actually a really good idea, not just for void/high elves but for any race that has similar stuff. Make it happen blizz, i beg

Ren’dorei exist.

But they aren’t Quel’dorei. As you can see from the first post, high elves are thalassian elves that don’t use void or fel.

Blood elves currently do not use and many have been cured of the fel addiction.
Void elves are permanently modified by void.

High Elf customizations exist in game. A 6th elf race is not needed just for racials.

They don’t want for racials.
They want it for entitlement. For the taking.

They want the “Quel’dorei” so tehy can claim Quel’thalas “for them”.

This discussion been silly AF by at this point.

Not enough, imo. Void elves still have horrible hairstyles with a few exceptions. Talking about the men

Blood Elves own Quel’thalas, though. Any ‘Quel’dorei’ would be classified as a traitor and exile, with limited access to the lands of the Sunwell.

I don’t understand why you don’t have this post muted at this point. It’s clear there are 3 different thalassian factions. Sin’dorei, who sided with the horde, took on the name Sin’dorei to honor the fallen from the Fall of Quel’Thalas, used fel to sate their magic addiction after the sunwell was destroyed, now rely on the naaru infused sunwell to sate their magic adiction.

The Ren’dorei (like this character) who decided the void was the answer to sate their magic addiction and wanted to harness the void power to protect themselves from another Fall from ever happening again. They were kicked out of the Sin’dorei for fear of the void causing problems then sided with the alliance.

The Quel’dorei who remained allied with the alliance, who didn’t use void of fel to sate their mana addiction. They are often seen in the kirintor and silver covenant along side the alliance.

I do hope midnight focuses on these three factions and how they interact and reunite.

I’m not a big high elf fangirl but the fact that t hey still don’t have tattoos is silly

They need to give unique customizations to Ren’dorei instead.

Because I’m part of this community, and my opinion matters as much as yours?

There are 5 Thalassian factions, 2 playable.

Blood Elves
Void Elves
The Sunreavers
The Scryers
Silver Covenant

Here is the thing: the Quel’dorei you’re talking about is non-existent.
Most of them are assigned within the Silver Covenant.

They are not a faction. They’re remnant of a fallen race. These within the alliance were a very (really, very small) amount of Elves that decided to go against their own kin to side with the humans after Anasterian withdrew from the former Alliance of Lordaeron.

So many have passed away, so many have been killed, many went back to Quel’Thalas already, and several became Void Elves too.

The more you talk about having a race to play as “quel’dorei” that is not the Blood Elves, the silly it becomes.

And be sure that I’ll be here to keep reminding everyone about these facts.

Need? No, they don’t need to do anything. What would be nice is if they give players what they want. And seeing as how you don’t seem to like them and probably don’t play as them but we do, it’s not exactly a reach to say that our opinion on how we want our characters to look holds more weight

Well, they need.
Ren’dorei is right now ranking 6th most played race (probably going to Jump to 4th or so when they add paladins)

Yeah, they need to cater to their audience.

No they don’t. There is nothing about this game that is a need, especially when it comes to customization options of a race.

Uh huh. Glad to see you agree.

Edit: just realized what you said. In which case, if they absolutely need to cater to their audience, it seems to me that there are more void elf players asking for these things than non void elf players saying they shouldnt get that

I do agree. Which is why I said they need to give customization for Ren’dorei, and not take away things from Blood Elves or Horde.

Maintaining the uniqueness as much as possible is also catering to their audience.

Not taking away anything. Besides, didn’t they give void elf facial hair to blood elves? Oh, and humans already have some blood elf hairstyles.

Blood elves have human, night elf, draenei, gnome hairstyles… they practically only have hairstyles from the alliance races !
