High Elf compromise

Why not? A model doesn’t make something a different race. Kul’tirans are humans with a different playable model

Ain’t gonna happen.

I’m not sure why the Alliance are not content with their Night elves? I mean their lore is expansive, and fascinating, and with the highborne they do a good job of fulfilling that fair magic-wielding elf theme. And now that they’re adding blonde hair, and increasingly fairer skin tones I’m surprised the Alliance aren’t clamoring to play them. Even I’m interested in making a highborne Night elf.

Its called entitlement, unfortunately its rampant in 2020

If you want to give up on your dreams that’s fine, but I’m not giving up.

Playable naga would be cool as well.

That’s a good point. Night Elves basically already bring to the Alliance what high elves would anyway. What would high elves bring that isn’t just blond hair and fair skin?

Have you played Warcraft 3: The Frozen Throne’s Human campaign?

The difference is I recognize its a silly dream/wish. Im not entitled to everything I think should be in the game. Neither are you for that matter.

You mean the campaign where Kael’thas allied with the Naga and became an enemy of the Alliance and the Horde?

Maybe they just should have been the enemy faction in TBC and never made playable at all.

They should make an alliance night elf AR called Highbornes

That wouldn’t step on anyone’s toes

I doubt giving fat Blood Elves would make people happy.

High elf hopefuls MALDING because for once they have to accept its never gonna happen.

People like to conveniently forget that the high elves, now known as blood elves, never really wanted to be part of the alliance and only joined because:

A. They owed a debt that they needed to pay off.
B. Their own lands got attacked and saw it as coinciding with their interests for the time being while allowing them to accomplish A.

When A was accomplished and their interests protecting their lands in B were met they left the alliance.

Left.

Asking for a race I’d like to play isn’t entitled.

Don’t forget the giant wall they built to keep the humans of Lordaeron out.

Meanwhile the other 4 playable elf races beg to differ, maybe you are entitled.

No one asked for that?

I haven’t played it, but I know the story. Blizzard didn’t have to go that route. They could have had the humans stick with the high elves and help them defend their kingdom. It would have been a good Alliance-type story.

Also, you make a good point about Night Elves. I think they are probably the main reason Alliance doesn’t have High Elves right now. As with the High Elves, they didn’t have to go that route with Night Elves. Instead of being antagonistic, the night elves could have impressed the orcs with their fighting prowess, and eventually become allies instead of enemies. That way Night Elves could have retained their savageness. I think being on Alliance diluted that.

Now hol up…

If they made the blood elves a little chubbier i’d totally be down with that…

Players: Can we have High elves on Alliance.
Ion: No.
Players: So you’re saying there’s a chance?

NO MEANS NO.
