Because the âHigh elfâ fantasy was always meant to be fulfilled by the Blood elves, which is why the two groups look identical. When they were originally introduced into the game Metzen literally says âBlood elves ARE our high elves.â The fact that High elf npcs show up on the Alliance doesnât mean you have some claim to them or their themes as a playable race that you can bargain with against Blood elf players. Blood elf players arenât coveting something that belongs to Alliance players, theyâre coveting something that should have been an option to them for quite some time.
You have High Elves on the Alliance? Iâm looking at my create character screen and I donât see the option to make one. I do however see them under the Horde section.
Oh, wait! Youâre talking about the handful of High Elves that didnât take the Blood Elf name. The same people as Blood Elves. You want the ones that kept calling themselves High Elves and are neutral to Alliance, but not of the Alliance.
Hmm. Yeah, Blizzard should totally give Alliance High Elves that are just Blood Elves, but didnât join the Horde.
Not.
As for the I play Alliance toons to experience other races not of the Horde. You know what I mean by it. You want to play High Elves, they are Horde. Everything lore wise that is High Elves is Blood Elves.
They didnât, though, because the Alliance has High elves now. So why not just give them the High elves they wanted and not the Void elves no one wanted?
No, Blood Elves are playable for the Horde. In game, they do show the High Elves of the Alliance, and the Blood Elves as Horde as 2 different factions and groups of people.
Blood Elves: You got either got most of them on Horde, some as nuetral, or some who are hostile.
High Elves: You got either most as Alliance, some as nuetral or some who are hostile.
They didnât even seed them into the game to see if anyone would even request void elves. It was just âBy the way these guys no one has ever heard of are gonna be playableâ.
/waves her arms
iâm a playable belf high elf on the alliance, who was first made into a nutcase and deprived of oxygen, then drenched in perma wetness. the creature from the black lagoooon.
Imagine if the horde spent the past decade asking for defias humans to be playable on the horde. You would say no, because humans are already playable on the alliance and thereâs nothing different about them other than some political differences.
Then you would say that the horde already has playable humans in the form of the forsaken.
Your post is a mess. The entire argument that Ion, and other posters in this thread are making, is that if you want High elves you should go Horde because Horde has playable High elves. Except thatâs not true, because Void elves are also High elves. In the same way Blood elves are High elves. Alliance already has High elves with Void elves.
