I honestly think the gloating made them look at it again and go you know what maybe we don’t want to be catering to these guys. If so it makes me incredibly happy that the antis are basically the reasons we are getting HEs.
Er…sure thing.
I can see why they did it just to get some peace for a little bit. Still, the Ion lied counter needs to be reset.
I feel like it was more like “Meh, let’s just add HE options to both sides to get them to stop asking questions about it. Trust me it’ll make them happy even if they didn’t ask for it.”
For the people who were hating on Void elves and refusing to accept it as a compromise it’s surprising how easily they caved when all it took was a skin color. But I guess we’re all capable of changing our minds.
The reality is they will still be playing Void Elves.
Yes and Horde will still be playing Blood Elves… but we’ll all be that much closer to the High Elves we want to play. It isn’t perfect, but it’s a much more good faith compromise than Void Elves were as they were first conceived.
You try to make it sound like wanting the aesthetic somehow invalidates the request. It doesn’t. Not at all. That aesthetic has been on the Alliance High Elf NPC’s since TBC. There are as many reasons people want High Elves as there are people asking for them. No one reason is more or less valid than another. If someone only cared about the looks… so what?
Would of been funny if they time gated it
Well I’d say the past two years has been a pretty big time gate lol
Or accept that Blizzard changes yours, and make it easier to swallow your purple blood elf, adding a color that doesn’t change anything in the end.
‘‘Spoonful Of Sugar’’ for a placebo.
Each knows its price.
It is not a shame to accept a bribe, if the value covers its principle.
Me for myself, although I don’t really want High Elves, I still consider that having rainbow blood elves in the alliance still stinks.
But in the end, we have a model of the race of the opposite faction that never boasted any moral merit or values greater than that of Blood sucker.
The rep grind is at least going away for all ARs with SL, but you will still have to do all the questing requirements needed to unlock void elves.
It was never meant to be perfect. But shameful.
And the more strength Blizzard makes to be accepted, the more wrong it is in the eyes of those who do not bow to the emperor’s new clothes.
What does this even mean?
Void elves are blood elves, and blood elves have the same background as high elves up until bc. So, void elves carry the lore of high elves.
No alliance ever wanted that. We wanted the one alliance race that Horde copy and pasted from alliance back in BC.
This isn’t rocket science. Please stop saying the same wrong thing, over, and over, and over again.
Man, it’s been a week and they haven’t coped with it yet.
Meanwhile, I can’t wait for 9.0 and see Alamara finally purging out some of that void juice she drank.
Well when you gain the sense of logic i will stop repeating myself. Lordaeron Alliance =/= Current Alliance. Original Horde =/= Current Horde. High elves = Blood elves. Blood elves = Lordaeron Alliance (no longer exists) which means Blood elves = Current Horde. Now when you open your mind to this the situation explains itself. As you said it isn’t rocket science now stop throwing tantrums like a baby and get over yourself.
My warlock is my main now, but I moved my mage from Horde, he was a BE. He is going to be my HE wayfarer who joins up with Alleria. And I’ll finally play my mage again I’m so excited. I been playing him again recently and remembering why I love mages too!
Can you imagine my Alliance high elf friends’ faces when I visit them again with my new untarnished skin in 9.0?
You know I’ve never done the Alliance lore master! I think when I experience some of the HE story in game for the first time, it’ll be as an actual Alliance HE, I’m going to RP some interest in Void magic too seeing as a mage probably sees some interest in new magic but not to the extent the original VEs got transformed.
I’m happy about the compromise and don’t want a fel corrupted horde race. Void corruption is fine with me.
Void Elves = Blood Elves racially, but not factionally.
Silver Covenant (Alliance) =/= Blood Elves factionaly or culturally.
Blood Elves and Void Elves are both a subset of High Elves racially, but not the same as the 1% that did not become Blood Elves or later Void Elves - and still remaining as high elves. Alliance never asked for a horde race, they asked for an alliance faction that exists in game that are Alliance.
Blood elves that think alliance are asking for a them, a horde race, live in a fantasy world. Alliance already has blood elves since Legion. No one is asking for a horde race.
