yeah. I would say people submitting as many questions as possible like this would help to get it answered a lot. If they get tens or hundreds of questions similar to this then yeah they probably will pick it because it appears the community wants it answered.

Why give us new or old stuff if its just rehashing nothing new? If its just X but slightly different, its a waste of resources and time. LFD and HMT are prime examples of that.

I get a bit annoyed at the amount of time people wasted by giving shout outs to their server and guild.

Yes but it is a distinction between Blood elves, who are primarily spellcasters, as it is the most defining theme among the Sin’dorei. You wouldn’t say that most Blood elves are not spellcasters, which is why it is an example of a cultural distinction between the two groups.

Mmm, I am not so sure. That seems a bit closer to confirmation bias because we don’t know if it i cultural, or circumstantial. All high elves were those who simply chose not to return, and those who chose not to return might have simply been rangers because they are more want to be away from the kingdom. Or it is their duty to be estranged and be scouts.

Actually no, magical withdrawal does not kill any elf, only the very old, sick and frail. Rangers were simply the ones that were not effected as strongly as other groups.

I know that I forgot to write the caveat while I was on my phone. The young, old, frail, or weak.
The worst if they were not in that classification was simply harm to one’s mental and physical health.

High elven assimilation into Alliance culture likely became a necessity for survival after Quel’thalas was destroyed, where High elves had to rely on the generosity, and mercy of the alliance races for survival, a fate the Allerian high elves were spared due to their isolation. To compare two groups, that faced entirely different circumstances and context isn’t a very accurate portrayal of the group in modern context.

I am not so sure that would be accurate given those high elves simply chose not to return home. They were already estranged from their people, and did not answer the call when their kingdom was in trouble, or were unable to do so. It would not be an inaccurate assumption to state they had already been there previously. Such as the outland high elves who were estranged and unable to assist, but preserved their cultural values.
For the high elves of SC it makes sense given Elisandre’s pointed criticism of Vereesa.

These lodges were also made before these cultural distinctions grew, from either communication outposts to increase relations with other races, or farstrider posts that were used by the traditional high elves in the past. They are not examples of the high elves capacity to practice, and carry on High elve traditions and themes. In fact most of these outposts are also occupied by non elven units.

They are, however, the best information we have, and even as we encountered the SC, Vereesa chose to style her group after the far striders including the title of ranger general. This is a case of ethnocentrism and preservationof one’s culture, rather than assimilation.
Even if we argued assimilation, we simply have too little information to make such an argument, though we have more for the notion of preservation.
Now of course, this may be a case of dev speech being superior to the lore so I am not averse to suggesting I am probably wrong on this matter.

I’m referring to dialogue when you select a character, High elves were specifically given voice dialogues that are primarily common phrases, while if you speak to Blood elves they will often recite High elven phrases to the player. If the idea was that culturally High elves were the same as Blood elves, it would make very little sense to add this distinction, when all they had to do was remove phrases that included “sin’dorei” in them.

Not necessarily. People aren’t stupid and note the lack of differences. this differentiation may have been intentional from a design point to simply further the distinction for ease of the player. Voice lines are easy to make distinct compared to visuals after all.
