High Elf Allied Race Megathread (Continuation)

It’s a delicate balance. Wait I’m not on my Monk.

So…where is that quote mowa? Or are you going to admit you got the wrong guy?

I laughed and I am ashamed I laughed.

Sorry, misquoted you for the wrong person. You want shiny things… Well, you wish for them anyways

Physically, yes, “culturally” not so much.

In fact Alliance High elves have evolved culturally from “traditional” high elves quite a bit, far more than Blood elves who still wear High elven armor, speak high elven, build high elven structures, carry on high elven traditions, etc etc. They also outwardly reject values traditional high elves practiced quite a bit, like the use of magic, and reverence toward the arcane. As ion himself had said, Alliance high elves have essentially assimilated into the alliance cultures, and largely shed their thalassian traditions.

This is certainly true, as the context and circumstances of what a “traditional” high elf was no longer exists, but we can still measure, and compare what lengths different groups went from their roots. Farstriders for instance, are said to be one of the groups most in touch with their high elven roots in modern times.

Apology accepted. I will call off the Bounty Hunters I sent to your cottage in the Hinterlands.

But I main a Mag’har Orc. Why would I want to live in the Hinterlands for when I can live in a magestic landscape such as Negrand?

I am not sure I can agree on this notion given that the only group which holds a disdain for magic was the quel’danil high elves. Every other high elf group does have mages within their groups including the silver covenant. They also do display creating high elven architecture as seen in Allerian stronghold, and the lodges which are traditionally thalassian in design. Furthermore, while some may have assimilated, we know this may only apply to the SC high elves who live in Dalaran which is high elf + human. I am not sure this is accurate to suggest all of them are assimilating, only some, and even then we know most still act very much like their blood elf kin in terms of their values and views.

belches

She’s a void elf. Slay her.

Slay her twice for being a stinking orc.

But you’re a Void Elf, not an Orc.

For some reason though, my mage has not been popping up in the character selection on the forums to post from. That is why I am posting from this Warlock.

Have you tried logging in and out of the forums?

Yeah, have done that several times. Even fully cleaned out my entire browser and stuff. BUt doesn’t matter, I mean, atleast I am able to still post from another toon atleast.

Do a full history clear including cookies.

Clearly this is a conspiracy from High Elves not being made playable.

He does not realize Prot warrior is just going to stomp him out. Literally.
Everytime I pop avatar, I hear that boondock song about nut stomping

I could actually aways just post back on this toon

Why are your eyes more diabolical glowier than mine.

Demon Huntard. That’s why?

Dude…she’s a demon hunter

No she’s not, she’s clearly an upstanding member of the Blood Elven race, not some demon infused mongrel.
