It’s understandable for ~Year 20 or 21, not for ~Year 33 when they’ve had 12-13 years to learn the truth of the circumstances.
Which isn’t to say BE’s don’t have legitimate gripes with the Alliance, these days, but “our human neighbors willfully invaded and decimated Quel’thalas” isn’t one of them.
Well I don’t think they’re as “Angry” now with the humans, especially now that Arthas was killed, and the truth of all that had happened was put to light. Even Liadrin herself shows remorse for the things she and her people did out of their misguided rage for vengeance. I wouldn’t say an “evil” race would care very much about their pass deeds, or at all.
Dude, Alleria is like the ONE that was not in Azeroth since the damn second war, it’s a non example…
You dismiss reasonable arguments because you don’t like who says it.
Why do you want to drive the discussion into a circular manner? I have explained why saying this is nonsensical.
Look, settle on.
What I say is that it’s the Blood elves through the Blood Knights who use the light energies of the Sunwell. Not the High elves, since they have never been aligned to such force.
You will NEVER find any High elf that use the light through the Sunwell, because they don’t do. Only Blood elves do that.
Well, I’m gonna let that right there. Anyone can see who is reaching absurd levels of justification, I’m too occupied playing with friends and you don’t deserve to be answered, given the way you plug your fingers in your ears and cry like a baby
Goodbye, if I return I will not even answer you, as I did with the other troll, Guzzle. I was discussing with Softsong by the way.
Um, when Lorthemar goes to visit the High elves in Quel’lithien lodge and tells them about the Sunwell being restored, Aurora a high elf priest quite literally begins to twist the light of the Sunwell between her fingers, stating that she was wondering why she no longer needed help coping with her magic withdrawal. High elves that wield light most certainly do utilize the Sunwell.
the dev describes it as losing their souls. i think thats not quite accurate either. they had lost their way, is better said. their faith in the light went on vacation to bermuda, bahamas… key largo, montego…aruba, jamaica. kokomooooo.
anyway, then the whole thing with the naaru. to hear the dev tell it, it sounds somewhat evil. and this amidst the commentary that they were trying to figure out how to believably give high elves to the horde. after they came up with that story arc and the quests related, they felt the players would see that they do indeed fit on the horde. it was kinda weird how they approached it. for example:
first they let the viewer know that these people are soul less as a result of a horrible event that stripped them of their faith.
they then abused various critters and demonic energies, became corrupted (fell from grace sorta story)
then abused a naaru.
their connection to the light via their paladins and priests, was merely for the purpose of using it, not respecting it or learning from it
and this would sell the playerbase on why high elves should be on the horde.
i sat scratching my head over it, since i’ve been lead to believe the horde were noble savages, had honor, would not embrace something fallen from grace as it were, since even the undead believe in the benefits of the learning from the light (despite the fact it hurts them to use it…which is straaange)
