High Elf Allied Race Megathread (Continuation)

That’d be because the Irvine-based Blizzard Entertainment, much like our future Chinese overlords, believe in a little thing called Social Credit. You’re worthless, until you’re not. :man_shrugging:

those elves were the sunreavers. not the ones that split 15 years ago

jaiana even admits it in game during the purge event

‘Now then, as leader of the Kirin Tor and a faithful part of the Alliance, what would you do about the Sunreavers? True, they are advocates of the Horde. But they have been allies and productive members of the Kirin Tor for over 2000 years. This city is their home. Would you expel them?’

‘So… you would purge the city? Cast the Sunreavers from their homes? The very same Sunreavers who helped humans discover magic in the first place?’

yes its a belf. it has red hair, and is slender and attractive. all attractive elves are blood elves. doncha know. now if you have tentacles and look as if someone just chiselled you out of a glacier, then its not a blood elf.

when did this happen?

MOP

i only skimmed this thread because of all of the sylvie hate. really makes me want to just rage quit these threads and drop my support. smh.

2000 years of continuous residence with humans in dalaran. there should be half elves all over the place.

Mists of Pandaria.

That the Sunreavers are long-standing citizens of Dalaran doesn’t, in any way, impugn upon the fact that the Silver Covenant represents a contingent of vehemently anti-Horde Thalassians – nor should it, in any way, be considered to invalidate requests for playable High Elves.

If the game wasn’t so shallow, insofar as being unexplored, it’s probable that this would be the case. Alodi, the very first Guardian of Tirisfal, was a half-elf and this was presumably centuries and centuries ago.

Specifically, she says it in The Fate of Dalaran quest set, dialogue quotes from it below:

Varian sent you as well? I’m outnumbered in my own city!

Let’s go about this a different way. Put yourself in my shoes. Imagine that YOU are the leader of the Kirin Tor

What would YOU do?

Now then, as leader of the Kirin Tor and a faithful part of the Alliance, what would you do about the Sunreavers? True, they are advocates of the Horde. But they have been allies and productive members of the Kirin Tor for over 2000 years. This city is their home. Would you expel them?

So… you would purge the city? Cast the Sunreavers from their homes? The very same Sunreavers who helped humans discover magic in the first place?

which high elves didnt follow kael’thas? and where did they go

sunreavers of 2000 years didnt all stay sunreavers either. some of those would’ve become the silver covenant, in fact, it makes the most sense that the ones who lived in dalaran became the sc when kael’thas broke off from alliance.

sc wasnt around back then. only the sunreavers as there wouldnt be a need for another organization within dalaran. its likely all high elves in dalaran were at some point a sunreaver. the sunreavers were always the most forward progressive thinking of their people who were xenophobic isolationists

right. but the ones who didnt follow kael to outlands, among their number would’ve been former sunreavers in dalaran, i mean logically speaking. they didnt just grow outta the floor.

Jesus christ this is so accurate it hurts.
