Ok i get that you don’t want High Elves as an playable race and agree with the antis, otherwise i would see you trying to argue against their points.
Because they’ve had to come to accept by now that the different non-tentacle hairstyles and facial hair for Void Elves will never go to Blood Elves. Even though some have made posts wishing it were so.
See it’s not hard to break that sort of argument when it already exists in-game for many things. Org Orc players also wanted Mag’hairstyles. They’re not getting those.
Because the point of these different options is to accentuate the differences that do exist. Hence Dark Irons for instance gaining customization they didn’t have before (but made sense) such as tattoos and flame-wicked beards.
I am okay with more than just blue eyes. I want purple. So you think those who oppose it do so because they will miss out on customization they feel entitled to?
As a night elf who is thoroughly jealous of nightborne hair, earing, and tattoo options, I think they will survive. Pretty much any allied race creates options that the existing base races can’t use.
If more options for blood elves is what they want they should create a thread to ask for it instead of trying to deny others a race just because they might want some of the customization.
And apparently your experience in the game it’s doing just as fine as before the Void Elves were implemented as you seem satisfied enough to have a sub to post in the forums. I imagine High Elves wouldn’t ruin and make it worse either.
Right here:
Half your replies to me are ignoring the main point of something I said while putting emphasis in some play of the words.
Now this is an even handed and entirely fair post.
Things endangered by playable High Elves:
Feelings of exclusivity of some players.
Sorry, false advertising, it’s actually just one thing.
Literally they could be added tomorrow and id play one.
“If i dont see it, it must not be true”
Because its broke your argument, and made you sound hypocritical.
Pretty sure it wasn’t a pro High Elf that said to me “Your feelings are irrelevant”, but what is the grudge against High Elves based of if not around personal feelings?
Because your feelings are irrelevant to me. I want your logic, not your emotion
It wasn’t you actually. Neither my post was a response to your point. Jeez…
Its hard to tell since you did a random clap back at me.
Cool, when you are going to argue against antis using their endangered feelings of Blood Elf exclusivity as an argument against High Elves?
If race exclusivity didnt matter, then why have factions?
I would be fine with it. Like I said, it is not that I am against the appearance of a high elf. If anything, I would be against changing them drastically, but I am against them being playable. It is why I don’t argue about appearances until someone claims erroneously they are a different race.
You’re making an assumption of the motivations and ideals behind someone who is against high elves being playable. You are speaking for them. You can paint it one way or you can paint it the other and it is still the same.
Literally everyone in this thread and anti-thread would play one I’m sure. They’d just be Tsundere about it, but as we see most often: people that love elves play elves.
Debateable. You cant speak for everyone.
As the discussion goes on to the ground, i have to bring back the best concept in game develop philosophy:
The more options, the better.
I rather rally in favor of more options of races to play than nothing. But there are people that rally in favor of nothing with the ridiculous excuse that it hurt their feelings.
I will be back when the thread is a better place for brainstorming ideas and concepts in favor of more options.
Hypocritical is to raise speculation on a subject, then when replied with another speculation you dismiss it because “we know nothing of the subject”.
And you actually missed the whole point of my post, while claiming I debunked myself.
Nah, it just sounds like, what did you call it? Flame bait? Gaslight? Funny to see from someone telling others not to do it.
