So, you’re probably going to not be disappointed.
Low expectations are more easily fulfilled.

I’m moreso expecting a crap show that my family and I will laugh at. We’re hoping to see Winnie the Poo costumes and everything
Hopefully no more Night Elf bad news too.
World revamp is one of my high wishlist items. I wanna see a world rebuilding post legion and BFA.
High elves for Alliance would be great.
(generally confused why people want the High elves to rejoin the Blood elves after all that has happend, they can have their Blue eyes without needing the high elves to return.) If we never do get High elves, I’d hope they keep Vereesa and co. As alliance cohorts just for the extra flavor they add, just as in the past.
This is glorious.
The sound of numbers in the High elf thread awakes him from his slumber
COUGH COUGH
There’s around 55 High Elves in Dalaran. I have a LIST.
Its been confirmed that the High Elves in the Hinterlands have given up on cr- I mean magic. Also that’s a nice building. If you consider that a “shack” I’d like to know what your house looks like.
I’m actually dreading this Blizzcon. I feel like the franchise has gone awry since WoD, with parts of Legion giving me a hint of hope but BfA throwing all my faith in the trash.
I have a lot of love for the setting, but it feels derailed and going in the wrong direction (for me).
I’d love to see the setting renewed, its bad parts fixed, before we went into totally new directions.
Depending on what 9.0 is, BfA may be the last WoW expansion for me.
I saw it happen in Starcraft, which I adored but couldn’t even bother to finish Sc2’s zerg campaign, nor bought the Protoss expansion.
I also never bought Diablo 3, despite loving its predecessors.
It’s like everything that made Blizzard storytelling great is being drained away slowly. And, without that hook in the story, I just can’t care for game mechanics.
Well, let’s wait and see…
Pretty sure that’s a dremora from the first ESO cinematics, like the 3rd one I believe.
How many times are we going to have to keep saying this only for perfect opportunities for them to be utilized are ignored and pass us by?
I’m getting really tired of the whole “just wait, there’s so much we’ll see them do, it’s coming up any minute!” thing. I’ve seen people say it literally since their inception and we’ve yet to even get one new character introduced, and that story beats they’ve (read:Umbric and only Umbric) gotten barely have anything to do with their themes. The most notable thing they did all expansion outside of opening portals was void-rezzing a dinosaur, which, while cool looking, didn’t actually act as a means to expand on them at all because it was designed to be repeatable content and so couldn’t devote any actual time to story.
Honestly, if they had made the above the climax to a quest hub in one of the war campaign zone bits I would have felt a lot better about it (showcase Umbric willing to go dark, give us one or two minor NPCs with characterization so we can see a range of how Void Elves feel about this kind of thing in general and how they relate to the void and actually have more than one character we can point to among the race, etc). By nature of what that invasion quest was it’s hard to feel like the Void Elves present are more than just a contrivance, they’re there to do the ritual and that’s all.
I don’t want to begrudge the optimism, I would love to be proven wrong and suddenly see a giant spotlight shone on the Void Elves and get to see some memorable characters and moments come out of literally anything, but Lucy’s been yanking that football away for almost two years now at this point, I don’t feel like trying to kick it anymore.
Edit: Welp. See you all in 24 hours, I guess.
The first thread ever about high/void elves will make its second anniversary tuesday next week, BTW.
EDIT: Aaaaand thread is closed.
That won’t stop us.
Discuss here meanwhile.
Hopefully they just abandon this concept of Undead Night Elves, it’s another spit in the face to Night Elf players and i’m mostly sure the Horde players would rather have San’layn.
Edit: Cool, it seems people are trying to silence our request once again. We’ve been through this already, no matter, we will endure.
My house isn’t a picnic awning.
Back to the locker with this thread. Thank goodness.
