Five days of heart burn.
I remain hopeful for Void elves in the coming content. The corrupted Stormwind is literally centered around Alleria and all the void elves, which I thought was really interesting and awesome, and hopefully itâs foreshadowing for more interactions between the Void elves and the old gods.
Itâs also interesting to see if the Blood elves will be interacting with them now that both factions are going to be working together to fight the void.
Its not even down playing. The LFD racial leader is a âliterally who?â tier of character.
Not to be facetious, but who actually is the Light forged leader? o.o
Captain Fareeya is. Whose contributions in BFA were in 7.3.5
Yes, she is. LFD are the second least developed AR. I complain about LFD almost as much.
Fareeyaâs only call to fame was killing a big demon in Argus to open the path to the crashed Genedar for Turalyon. Sheâs outshined by Yâmera, Tâpaartos, Telaamon (RIP) and Enaara.
But, when you get down to it, LFD have more memorable characters than Velves. And thatâs ridiculous.
Yah, bringing up how bad the LFD are too doesnât make VEâs better, just shows how bad out two Legion ARâs are lol.
But even while Fareeya is actually a worse faction face than Umbric, the LFD have an actual cast of characters that we got to know questing on Argus, to the point they even killed one for the feels.
We still literally just have Umbric on the VE side!
Sorry, but 8.3 is already a major disappointment. Velves are just enemies to kill in the Horrific Vision of Stormwind. The factions and races have zero presence in the Nâzoth story, as Wrathion becomes the main character with Magni as sidekick.
The factions have zero importance in the entire questline leading up to Nyaâlotha. The only moment Alleria does something is after NâZoth is already dead, when thereâs a dialogue between her and Turalyon.
VElf plot in BfA ended up being the worst case scenario I drew back in 2017: they were made to fill up a race slot. The big void patch is coming and all they do is fail in an alternate future.
I literally dont remember any of the LFD you listed outside of TâPaartos because memes. (Yes this is joke).
Guys, I love Captain Fareeya.
I love her accent. I love her title. I love her hair. I love that sheâs mildly annoyed to stop murdering demons because she has to heal people.
But did you pay attention or didnât care?
Enaara, Tâpaartos and Quoram are meme characters, but that makes them memorable.
Yâmera quested with us in Argus, and Telaamon, beyond being a memetic badass in Argus, sacrificed his life in BfA.
And thereâs Sorvos, Fareeya and Baraat, who are not very memorable, but at least exist and can be expanded in the future, if the devs care for LFD one day.
All of them had roles in the Argus campaign. If you complete de campaign, they (except Enaara) also become mainstays in the Vindicaar, so you kept seeing them everyday as long as you kept going to Argus.
You are confusing her with our psycho holy priest, Grand Lector Enaara.
But I really like Fareeyaâs speech in the LFD narration. âOne war ends, another begins. Thatâs the burden of a soldier.â (Or something like that). Itâs the best description of LFD culture for now.
You right. Fine. Sheâs my second favorite Light Forged Draenei. Sheâs nice.
Though, I wish Enaara was the leader. Guess weâve already got one crazy Draenei leader though.
And youâre right, Fareeya still has the Fallout 3, âWar never changes.â Warhammer 40k line.
Not really? Being a meme character is okay if you have a cast behind them. (Its why someone like Keeshan works because humans have a lot of other NPCs)
I also literally forgot about snooty vigilant and draenai priest.
Not memorable, but then againâŚArgus wasnt very memorable outside of its zone design, the instances, and the Shadowguard area to me.
A character who went from background LFD we save on MacâAree to sacrificing himself to lead Dazarâalor assault. I literally didnt remember this guy when he appeared in my Alliance questing for the war campaignâŚbecause he didnt do anything in Legion.
If anything, its a C-tier named NPC who Blizzard used to show loss for the Alliance. It wasnt a shock he died. They literally put a non-important NPC into a leading role to not kill off more important characters.
Both of which are the definition of C-tier named NPC.
Which for your racial leader, is pretty garbage tier.
I played the Alliance side during all of Legion, I raided Antorus and got AotC, and I spend months farming Argus.
None of the LFD NPCs are memorable outside of TâPaartos, who is a memed character and hasnt done anything outside of 7.3.5. Im sorry, but LFD are worse off than Void Elves.
The sole reason why is: why would they develop any sort of LFD NPC when they can just insert Turalyon?
the krokuul hating velen largely doesnât make sense and I think hatuun went senile or something. They volunteered to stay behind and hold the line for the others to escape.
I mean at this point, Turalyon might as well just be the racial leader.
I donât think he should. turalyon and the rest of the sons of lothar (barring khadgar because he went to be new khadgar off in karazhan instead of supporting the alliance as old khadgar would) should form the basis for a new alliance high command with turalyon as supreme commander.
Both the horde and alliance need characters like this. A proper and clear military structure that we interact with more often than the racial leaders. The racial leaders shouldnât be out in the front lines like they have been used for BFA. They have their place and they can show up for pivotal battles such as BoD, Lordaeron, Orgrimmar, ect. but otherwise the roles they have been used in should be given to established commanders.
It wasnt that he should, its that hes their most developed character that fits.
Isnât he like the representive you talk to in the building to start recruiting lfd?
Not the racial leader, hes ambassador
