High Elf Allied Race Megathread (Continuation)

thats pretty much what i said and what mythlor said, too. and even what alamara said. we all agree. something happened, and they changed their minds from one mysterious AR, to another. presumably, it was an elf of some kind, and likely a high elf of some kind because they were doing the night elf swap . they had that big beautiful city of suramar with the intense storyline of the nightfallen. , for the lead up, and zero for void elves.

Dont see it on front page, im guessing in the actual MMOC WoW forums.

Nevermind, the guy said it’s fake. Going to delete my previous posts. I didn’t like it anyway.

It’s from an MMOC forum thread.

This is why you shouldn’t believe any leak.

Its why I dont necessarily agree with Alamara’s ideas. Blizzard wouldnt have gone into 7.3 without knowing a 4th AR if they had the other 3 down before release.

What makes me think is that: ARs werent supposed to be out before 8.0, but something internally made them release the four Legion ARs as a pre-purchase in 7.3.5

chances are good it was some kind of high elf, and likely not a void elf originally , since there;s zero indication of void elves until you’ve done all the rep grind for it, the complete opposite of every AR at the time, or even since then they wouldve had to gone in and erased the other elf option from the story and squeezed the void elves in at the tail end since they weren’t determined till the others were already done and people were already questing for them

Void Elves actually did appear in the Battle for Lordaeron scenario and also only appeared in various Island Expeditions. But they haven’t had much involvement outside that this entire expansion.

no i mean when you’re earning an AR by rep grinding , every AR at the time and since then, has their own zone where you quest to earn rep for them specifically (zandalar, kul’tiras, suramar, argus, etc) but void elves, nope. not a thing. we end up having to grind rep from a totally different race

Argusian Reach story on Mac’Aree was actually involved with the Void.

To be fair, very few of the ARs have gotten much screentime this xpac. I keep forgetting Mag’har even have a faction leader. She wasn’t even the main focus of the recruitment questline.

I was trying to work out actually what did the Mag’har Orcs have to do with BfA?

i’m a void elf. i know this. but there are no void ELVES. you understand. its the equivalent of grinding rep in suramar, where there are no nightfallen or nightborne, instead maybe some orcs from au draenor give you the quests and you dont see any nightborne or even get quests that have anything to do with them, yet the nightborne are awarded to you once you reach exalted with au draenor orcs

Well you see because when they were the Iron Horde they invaded through the Dark Portal and engaged in what was literally, for them, a Battle For Azeroth.

Besides Alleria and her literal origin story?

is her void elf story even existent before you reach exalted with argussian reach or is it a cutscene you see once you’ve unlocked them?

True. But when you think about it, Alleria Windrunner was the first Void Elf, after absorbing power from the Dark Naruu L’ura.

Void Elves were originally Void Ethernals that were Blood Elves studying the void, but were banished from Silvermoon as they posed a threat to the Sunwell. Alleria saved them.

Bryian are you saying these beings of pure Light, made by a God when the universe was being ordered, don’t know who their own prophesied Child of Light is?

X’era, the Prime Naaru, explicitly says it’s Illidan and that it’s always been Illidan.

Oh boy, Illidan was not prepared!

I don’t think you need exalted to see her story do you?

Obviously not, Illidan was clearly a grown man.

I beg to differ.
