High Elf Allied Race Megathread (Continuation)

Not ignoring them but for since Argus is the homeland of the Dranei, their role were as the protagonists of the invasion and as such were the “neutral” role.

It’s the same argument you make for Dalaran and Khadgar. Both are Alliance but are the “neutral” representation in their roles as they are for both factions.

Yeah… which is why I never said that Lightforged didn’t make sense… my initial argument was that High Elves also made sense, in some ways more so.

You want to take my stance as hyperbolic, but I’m not going to be that way. Take it as you will.

But they didn’t make sense at all.

Be honest. When picking a race to represent the Army of Light AR, which would Blizzard choose?

That doesnt mean anything. How many times has Thrall been considered Horde representatives when he was leading Cata? I remember that being a strong discussion by Alliance players.

Blizzard did… and my point, again, was that there was evidently some scrapped plots, explaining some very odd loose ends that were never resolved… most importantly (and most annoyingly) the Void Broken being left to rot on a husk of a planet.

Valajar and Ghost Nelves were left to rot in the Broken Isles.

Even if there was, we dont know if they exist or not. As I said, all we know that was scrapped was Thal’dranath. There is a lot of stuff on Legion that could be used for the same things.

But theres a difference between brainstorming and pushing a narrative.

Ah well this is entering subjective territory. Some view the Azsuna zone as Night Elf representation even though it’s specifically Highborne so it’s basically Blood Elves more than Night Elves lol

…so the Shen’dralar are more Blood Elf than Night Elf?

You’re kinda pulling at the whole Vrykul should have been an Alliance AR instead of Kul Tirans thread hahaha

But nah it’s not the same… Argus is a dead planet. They should have returned with us.

I’m not at all. I’m pointing out how flimsy that excuse is and can be applied to literally any race in any zone.

Well it depends… do you view Highborne as Night Elves or Blood Elves?

If we follow history, the Blood Elves are all Highborne but the Night Elves are a mix of Highborne and Lowborne.

So wouldn’t Highborne representation be more aligned with Blood Elf interests? Isn’t that a main thread used to justify Nightborne siding with Blood Elves?

Point being, people often use “racial model” as representation for a race, when Elves in particular kinda break that mold being the same race having mutated cause elves are just eevees that evolve when faced with magic stones.

Yeah but we left them to their fate on a dying planet, not a zone on an Azeroth that is fine.

Til BFA that is… I guess

Mythlos…you know the Shen’dralar joined the Night Elves back in Cata right?

Alliance still has a spaceship.

But I just said that Night Elves are a mix of Highborne and Lowborne… please… start reading before writing.

Can I ask what your argument is?

Are you contesting that Azsuna is a Night Elf zone but not a Blood Elf zone because they use Night Elf models as opposed to being the same group of people that form the ENTIRETY of the Blood Elf racial group?

We can’t go back… the hole is sealed… it’s the red dot in the sky remember?

Also that spaceship might as well not exist.

High Elfs were a mutation of Night Elfs that crossed the ocean.

Im trying to understand your argument, since you are saying Night Elves have Highborne in their ranks…yet calling a Highborne zone a Blood Elf zone. I wasnt even saying Azsuna was a night elf zone!

Until Blizzard decides it’s time to go back.
