Can you at least stick with the actual tank? We get it, Vengeance is OP, big number go brrrr, but there’s only 1 healer, and you keep yanking threat while the tank is still pulling, don’t plant your feet and beat your head against whatever you’re fighting. The healer is going to see you taking damage and panic swapping to you to keep you alive, so the actual tank has to stop pulling and double back or else they’re going to pull too much without the healer and die, then everything they’ve pulled is going to run back and delete the healer, then the rest of the group and now you’ve just made everything even slower than if you had gone dps. Or better yet, queued as tank yourself
Really, what the brewmasters should do is just keep pulling with the lead tank. Those stopping to dps what they have are what’s causing the problem. You wouldn’t have to run back and heal them… actually don’t. Healers run the show, yell at them to keep up or die.
If a healer is panicking trying to heal two players, they probably shouldn’t be playing a healer.
At endgame where they should be more experienced and used to how usual groups work, I would agree
Not when we’re talking about leveling dungeons where they might be new, or just aren’t used to this whole new nonsense of tanks queuing as dps and their “keep the group alive” instinct fires off before their “oh that guy is just being an idiot” instinct catches up
Nah, I knew you were talking about leveling. Monk dps at endgame is better as windwalker. It’s at lower - mid levels that brewmaster does a lot more dps, especially aoe.
But it’s legit advice for healers, new or old… yell at them to keep up with the group or die. All healers need to learn the power they have. Might risk being kicked for saying something once in a while, but honestly hasn’t happened to me yet. Usually they say my bad as I’m rezzing them.
“Why are there no healers ” Yeah nobody should ever try something new ever, not even a leveling dungeon
I don’t think I understand the issue. If tanks queue as DPS, they’re still tank spec, right? So if a tank, spec’d as a tank, is tanking damage, does it really matter?
If you pull a group of 4, and each tank is tanking 1 mob, isn’t the damage you have to heal the same split among the 4 vs all the damage on 1? Wouldn’t that actually make it easier since the damage isn’t as bursty and you can leverage HOT performance. 1 tank can only get 1 renew healing, but 4 tanks can take 4 renews.
If the healer can’t heal it, doesn’t that just mean they’re going too fast? A single tank can go too fast and pull too much. Seems like that’s the issue; unless I’m missing something obvious.
They aren’t sticking with the group which spreads apart the mobs so that they can’t all be aoe’d, and the actual tank can’t pull as much as they otherwise would be able to due to lack of group damage and the healer being split trying to keep everyone alive
because when the lead tank is trying to play like an actual tank and do big pulls while the g*mers who queued dps brew because they watched fartmaster9001s video "MUST KNOW MONK CLASSIC LEVELING TIPS " are lagging way behind fighting 1 pack at a time it forces the healer to choose between healing the dps brew way in the back or the lead tank actually doing the dungon correctly
The best advice I can give for healers is to just let them die. They’ll learn eventually.
They’re horrible at the game and don’t know how to AoE properly. Actual tank players already have a hard enough time knowing how to group mobs with line-of-sight and repositioning them so they stack well. DPS players often take for granted that mobs are grouped up so they can press the AoE buttons.
Easy choice. DPS are disposable trash and need to be reminded of that as often as possible.
In my experience, though, it’s always the DPS that are up ahead with the tank lagging behind because he wants to do 1 pack at a time.
i’m hoping this isn’t going to be a forever problem and will go away when the sweatpigs get to 85 because the thought of these troggs infesting low level dungeons for all of mop is making me seethe because it griefs the dungeon in a bunch of different ways for these losers to get marginal dps gains for themselves
Sweatpigs already boosted/leveled to 85 and are full pre-raid BiS or better. You’re playing with casuals who wish they were sweatpigs.
Thankfully it starts to peter out around the 50’s. I still saw a few now and then through TBC but they weren’t as frequent, and by then most of them at least seemed to put in some effort to keep up with me
I fail to see the logic here. You get a beefy DPS and a tank. It’s even easier to keep them alive.
Then you aren’t reading
Yeah once WW gets the spinning crane kick at level 46, it becomes a lot more comparable to Brewmasters AoE so it makes sense.
Oh no a healer had to put one rejuv on an off target, let’s run to the forums to complain !
“I’m going to not read the actual problem and instead make a donkey’s backside of myself because I’m probably the problem and don’t want to accept responsibility for my own actions”
This just smells like “I click my spells” and can’t handle 2 targets needing healing. And let’s be real no one needs healing in dungeons up to 50.
I’m assuming you reroll at 65 cause the game gets “too hard”.
