Hey Ion I know you read the forums but

I have heard the game is dying. Never the forum is dying. This is new to me…

As opposed to just being disappointed with their lackluster communication?

The funny thing is, it’s amazing how often they acknowledge stuff in Q&As and such, for people to turn around and keep saying “blizzard isn’t listening”.

Ion won’t answer. He has his arrogant underling Lore to do that.

Tbf, it isn’t the devs job to communicate with the customer. It is, however, the CMs job. Funny how that works.

Implying Lore would reply to us in a respectful manner, if he ever did at all.

Yeah all I really ever noticed from him was his snarky tweets and just nodding along to Ion in the Q&As :l

I could see no harm in coming into any such thread and at least acknowledging it.

If they do read it and have zero to say about any of them, what do ya’ll think that means?

Op vacation time?

Please I took tomorrow off, so thanks for the game. Lots of fun…

“Consensus” is a player myth. Ion knows better.

For example, if 25,000 players all say the same in the forum, is that a consensus?

No! 25,000 players is less than 1% of the players.

Ion knows that. He is not going to pretend it is “all players” to please you.

Hi friend, understandable. I suppose my point is that if there are that many ppl unanimously upset at a system, there could be possible ways to rework the system to improve it!

If there was any acknowledgement at all, it would feel that we players have a voice in this game and be able to contribute to making it better.

Maybe he’s just still too mad about the fuzzy :koala: thread.

This would cause a feeding frenzy and if they did see a topic they acknowledged then other posters would become angry that THEIR post didn’t get acknowledged, then people would start posting angry threads about how they are ignoring the REALLY important topics… Wanna know how I know? Because in WoD (I think) Lore and other CMs would mention occasionally if a thread was being talked about and all of that stuff I mentioned happened almost every time.

Then when they would say “we are taking notes and discussing it” or however they worded it and nothing happened for months (maybe the devs decided not to go with it, maybe they were working on something in respect to it, but they were waiting for the next expansion or it was something that took a really long time…) people would post threads stating they were angry that the blue lied.

Hi friend, thank you for your honest opinion!

I feel that is a very fair point and perspective you have introduced. However, I still think with a fair amount of transparency, communication and perhaps a touch of public relations, Blizzard will be able to touch on these topics as well as explain to the players why they think X and Y thread is not viable for implementation/change.

Having this would still be much better than utter silence because that would just ultimately lead to players ASSUMING the worst for themselves.

I can appreciate your perspective and in general I agree. I myself have complained about lack of communication many times, it’s one of the things I guess you could say I am passionate about as a regular around here. I am just trying to point out that this very particular form of communication caused a lot of issues in the past when they tried it.

Even when Lore asked some followup questions about Azurite armor earlier this expansion people got really nasty.

Yes that is true. Most of us here just want the best for the game and for it to improve, especially in its current state.

Thank you for your contributions to the forums, I don’t normally frequent the forums but when I see big threads with fair argument points going ignored and when I read about how Ion “reads almost all the forum posts”, it got me going because it feels like we’re being ignored. Which triggered me to create this thread.

Not to mention his Q&As address very little with many words which is really painful to watch. It just feels there is a flaw in the way they deliver.

Lol he’ll answer it like a politician…Dodge the straight answer then tell you what you need and what he thinks is better for the game instead of the general consensus

So he needs to answer to you…why??? A sarcastic little know it all…who likes to sprinkle some politics in…

The fact is…no one really gives two craps about your opinion…you have established a side…it not correct…the majority does not agree with it…and I find it amusing…

Hello friend,

I am not requesting for Ion to “answer to me” rather it’s a plea for him to communicate more on the team’s + his take on big threads on the forums/issues known by players.

Yes I have established a side, I would like to have more communication from the developers whether good or bad. At least I know my voice is being heard based on just having a reply from them alone.

Blizzard needs to start reading all of the Class Forums as well as the In Development Forums.
