Hey guys its not cool just to rdm

i cant tell if you are being genuine or not but for the sake of my own stupidity if you are thank you for understanding

Me? No no, I genuinely hate Warmode in its current iteration. Its like someone who has zero interest in PvP designed it. I actually made a huge write up on it a while back on the things I would personally change to make it more engaging for what its suppose to be instead of just being a PvE reward buff. If I can find it ill link to it.

OMG thank you for not being one of the ignorant few, i know what i wanted to say just didnt know how to write it, you summed it up perfectly

So this was a write up I did on what I honestly would like to see from Warmode compared to what Warmode actually is. Its a very lengthy write up but I remember expressing all of my dislikes with the system and what I would personally do to make Warmode better as a PvP system.

Ganked in gank mode … working as intended

idk im just feeling as though world of warcraft has become more or less a joke to people who played vanilla and bc

Indeed… but many of the people who join up to “gank mode” are not in it because they want to PvP, they are in it because they feel forced to in order to maximize their rewards because said rewards for being in Warmode are purely PvE focused.

Blizzard quite literally stated that they created “Warmode” as a way to focus on WPvP for those who want it and let others opt out. This was to also allow friends who didn’t like WPvP to play on the same server as their friends who did like WPvP.

The problem is that the fact that Warmode’s reward system is purely PvE benefit returns it to the original issue of PvP and PvE servers, IE people being in Warmode that don’t want to be. All that has changed is that instead of being on a PvP server because friends are on a PvP server is now its “I am in Warmode BECAUSE otherwise I feel like I am wasting resources!”

That feels to be the main point of this thread less so than being a “I was ganked!” thread. Its people feeling forced into Warmode because it’s rewards are all PvE focused. Especially with Alliance getting absurd bonuses upwards of 30%.

ive found myself straying towards heroes of the storm or starcraft for my actually fair competitive play

You could also duel or join instanced pvp - its not perfect but the numbers are at least equal

Attempted but got wingwang stuck in power socket. Send help. :scream:

Turn off WM if you don’t want to have people engage you in PVP.
Either that or pay more attention to your surroundings.

If you only have WM on to avoid fighting for mobs, you’re doing it wrong. Try grouping up with someone who is grabbing the mobs or wait your turn.

It’s been this way since vanilla. Don’t sign up for PVP if you don’t want to risk being smashed into the ground.

So, did PVP Happen with Warmode on?

You enable Warmode, you’re going to get grouped up on, no matter what.

Indeed, except the reward structure of the system promotes people doing that

And here is the problem with that argument. Warmode was designed to be an entirely WPvP focused system, moving away from a server focus for multiple reasons.

One reason was so that friends who didn’t want to PvP could play on the servers of their friends that did without being forced into PvP. The problem comes to light with the fact that the entire reward structure however makes players feel forced into Warmode to maximize their rewards and if they don’t then they are basically playing way sub-optimally (especially if you are on Alliance with those 30% bonuses)

So you have players in Warmode who are not there to PvP and are only using the system for benefits because they feel forced into it.

Again, the problem is that its a “PvP” focused system that feels like it was designed by someone who has no interest in PvP and thus gave it “PvE” rewards.

I like your proposal, +1

That being said, +10% on world quest rewards and experience isn’t something I’d consider a mandatory opt-in, people that turn war mode on know what the trade off is

What about the upwards of 30% Alliance get because of faction imbalance? I feel like 30% is pretty substantial, wouldn’t you?

How about trying not to insult people when you’re the one who can’t seem to communicate what you actually wanted to say. Thanks.

Warmode is a volunteer program in which you willingly sign up to pvp. It doesn’t mean anything at that point what the people want. If it’s read, it’s dead.

Which it shouldn’t. I dunno why Blizzard thought it was a good idea to provide a reward structure with having WM On that promotes people to turn it on to not do any PVP.

Spawn 250 explosive barrels. Then shoots them.

EXACTLY! I feel like this is such a no-brainer, right? And yet here we are.

I just don’t get why they don’t go all in with the WPvP mode that was suppose to be designed for WPvP. It baffles me.
