Hey Blizzard please do NOT add undead night elves as a horde race. At some point it's enough

One undead race is more than enough on the horde side to be frank.

Two would just be ridiculous.

 Eh, I like undead races and honestly every Core Race deserves at least 1 counter part as we’ve seen thus far.

Undead are evil creatures, raised by black/dark magics, that usually only have enough senses to destroy anything around them they touch.

The forsaken unfortunately dont feel terribly far off from the scourge at this point.

That requires the author to not write fanfiction.

I never knew she wrote for Blizz before BfA. I don’t really follow or care about the novels because up to now they’ve been as relevant to the lore as WoWHead.

But she did write for Star Wars before they shut down the EU and holy god it was bad.

Bad.

Bad.

And this was material that wasn’t good.

Remember when I said how bad NE lore has to be to stand out against bad lore? That was basically her books against Fate of the Jedi.
Fate of the Jedi was horrid, full of self-insert macguffins, long-lost Sith races suddenly showing up, an all-powerful Dark Side entity that could give Sylvanas a run for her money with her ability to banshee out without consequences, Luke Skywalker exiled with his son for no adequately explored reason while the New Republic descended into a police state because evil leaders, and to sum it all up, the final chapter basically said everything happened because the Clone Wars cartoon happened and they wanted to bring it canon.

Now imagine having your writing stand out in that cesspool as bad.

This is literally the final series that I finished reading, sat the book down, asked what I was doing with my life, and then realized that the writing in Star Wars, with very few exceptions like Zahn, was never actually good.

That is the certain Forsaken who worship Sylvanas as their queen. There are some Forsaken that aren’t malicious and just want to live their life. We see this during the meeting in Arathi of the Forsaken that simply wanted to meet their living family. None of them were evil and some were really happy to even be able to be accepted by some of their family.

It’s like that because they don’t show all of the undead. A prime example of a not so evil Forsaken is the dude that gets raised in the War Campaign, I forgot his name
But he’s by no means evil, and just gets murdered because he goes against Sylvanas’s plans.

Edit: Blizz also states the Forsaken and the Scourage are two very different things. The Scourage have wrecking pains, and were raised solely to kill. They were Lich King’s killing machines and needed to inflict pain, and still technically do. Forsaken don’t have that.

It would be a win-win situation. Getting rid of Calia and I would come to adore Void elves for helping with it.

But really, I laughed XD

The whole thing was so bad. Everyone there had their ulterior motives. Sure, Sylvanas’ were not good, far from it, but Andiun was also being sneaky.
And on top of that we have Calia “Oh, my kingdom is on fire? Peace!” Menethil literally ruining it all and setting off a chain reaction.

I really, really dislike that she’s even alive. When I saw her appearing in legion I was seething, and to see that now she cares about her people

I am not, not in the slightlest. Calia is one of the two characters whose existance honestly annoy me (the other being Magatha Grimtotem). She cares about “her people” now
but not enough to at least go down with the ship when everyone was dying left and right.

You really want the stinky Zombies? You can have those particular stinky Zombies.

I actually kind of felt the same about the random pop up in Legion. And the fact that the only thing she really says on herself when you click through her voicelines is that she lived in a ditch during the whole attack on her city and what not
Which, would’ve no longer been a thing and she could’ve easily came back to the Alliance way before the Legion. A bit odd she decided to just rando show up with Faol during Legion and it was kind of annoying to me. But, whatever
At least it answered my questions on where the heck she went since no where does it ever state she died.

I just simply like that
to my knowledge she was told not to show up and then she shows up anyway cause it’s her people and she wants to try and find a way to get her people back or w/e
She’s very tactless, as someone who wants to get her place back you’d think she’d know
Especially since she went out of her way to survive in secret this far and suddenly she flails her arms in the wind carelessly.

As for this, honestly Calia isn’t on the top of my most annoying characters, I just find what Blizz did to Calia more annoying than anything else. Esp since LF Undead doesn’t really make sense to me but IG since Naruu made it be then it makes sense .

I really doubt it, we already have our Night Elf race in the NIghtborne. More likely that they will be our High Elves - you see them around doing some stuff but not playable because there are only a few of them.

NO I am not trying to make this a High Elf thread, please do not go there. But they would fit a similar niche within the Horde as High Elves currently do on the Alliance.

It was completely nonsensical. Were we supposed to feel sorry for her? For abandoning her people? Oh she hid in a ditch, poor thing
Oh the thousands that died and were risen? Pfft that’s nothing.
And don’t even get me started on what they did to the Cult of the forgotten shadow because that’s not a can, it’s a whole dock container of worms for me.

But not only she showed up. I haven’t read the entire book but I’m aware of the entire situation
she went in with Faol, and Faol allowed that to happen and didn’t say a word beforehand either?
The situation made no sense. But I do know that no matter what, Calia has no claim over the kingdom.

LF forsaken are an abomination that I hope never become a thing.

There is but a handful of references to the “Not insane and murderous psychopath” undead.

Most of the forsaken I run into both PCs, and NPCs, feel far more scourge-like than Forsaken anymore.

Everywhere the forsaken seem to pop up, gets absolutely destroyed, and twisted into something akin to a horror movie.

15 years ago, there might have been some glimmer of redemption for the Forsaken as a whole, by todays standards?

I don’t believe so.

I see you still think that pre cata forsaken are the exact same thing than current day Forsaken

Yeah I agree with this lol, and I’m unsure about the Cult of the Forgotten stuff, honestly I only vaguely know about the CotF stuff and how they’re 100% against Sylvanas and what not but I never really see much on them but I don’t really actively research much on them either so that’s partially my fault.

I also thought that was very odd? You’d think Faol of all people would’ve seen the dangers of this, you know
given Sylvanas was most definitely going to let all hell break loose the second she spotted Calia in the field of humans, and there’s no way she wouldn’t have spotted her and would’ve been like, “Oh yeah that’s cool just the former princess to my city
 Who cares, right?” Nah
Everyone should’ve known exactly how that was going to play out, and in fact did given someone told her not to show up.

I also agree with this
It makes no sense, esp since the forsaken feel a lot of pain using the light but suffer through it anyway if they choose to use the light. I believe Faol even states something about that somewhere, I can’t remember.

Also, again that’s because a majority of the Forsaken we’ve seen thus far are either not of Sylvanas’s Forsaken and are twisted undead creatures more than likely, or simply Forsaken that worship Sylvanas and are indeed not the most morally correct undead. One prime example of a not so good undead is Putris

A prime example of a good undead is Thomas Zelling. There are good and evil within’ any race, and shouldn’t solely be given the spotlight just because they’re undead. Again, the Scourage and the Forsaken aren’t the same thing. And sure you’ve seen references to those types of undead, but those do not reference the Forsaken as a whole.

Well then the game seriously needs to put more emphasis on undead like Zelling.

I’ve not seen a single Forsaken Control area, whose environment hasn’t been turned into absolutely
 disgusting landscapes.

Every single area they control, they basically brutalize the lands around them. Their quest givers seem to relish in the pain/torment/death of other living creatures, and they show absolutely zero remorse when they do anything seriously screwed up.

There is not enough examples of “Good” Forsaken to outbalance these freaks.

Not that’s fine, the CotFS it’s something that really doesn’t appear much in game so it’s not something easy to know about unless you search it up for a reason or stumble upon it while reading forsaken lore (like I did). But it’s supposed to be like an edgier equivalent of the Chruch of the holy light in a way, but it was supposed to be made by forsaken for forsaken and to help them cope with their status as undead.

But in Legion they finally showed the leader
that happens to be a living human

Eye twitch

Exactly. Faol is not a stranger to the forsaken. What he did is what someone that knows nothing of the parties involved would do.

That’s why canonically there are no forsaken holy priest but discipline is something they can handle, since the latter involves manipulating the light that in itself requires a lot of endurance, but a forsaken holy priest would at the very least scream in agony since the light it’s supposed to course through them.
But even if the method of resurrection it’s different just
 come on
 holy zombies? Really blizzard?

Pfft, I’m telling you. You dip a few gnomes in blight to get some decent assistant and experiment with a woman’s brain in the name of science and people calls you “evil” :woman_shrugging:

Btw, if you took this seriously, that explains why you think pre-cata forsaken and current day ones are the same.

If they do then I might actually play WoW again. Right now Im not. I have unsubbed from almost all of my accounts simply because all my friends have quit and because of what they have done to the game.

If they did something cool like this
 then I might play again.

Stop, this is how unfounded rumors like "you need to do a mythic+ to upgrade your legendarys" like in last xpack start.

You’d think we’d learn to stop asking.

If you’re going to crusade against this sort of thing in GD then your fingers are going to get pretty tired
