Actually you are, since you mentioned the military for your reason several times. And a bag would be at your side with a strap across your shoulder, not a huge ugly item on your back.
Visible backpacks have been a thing in EQ2 for years. Here s an example of some.

Ya they do, i also mentioned that medieval ages and so on followed by fantasy.
i also said theres a backpack that acts like a parachute ingame, you are picking what you want to prove your point now, or you are just not following what is going on.
if its on the back, and a bag that holds stuff… it’s a backpack.
/sigh I guess four slots is technically bigger.
At least we every expansion apparently, we get bigger smaller bags…
IF it’s ON THE BACK. A bag isn’t on your back. It’s hanging on your side by a strap over your shoulders.
Than it’s not a backpack, if it has 2 straps, and you wear it on the back, it’s a backpack.
And it’s still ugly and shouldn’t be added to the game.
Well theres lots of things deserve that treatment…
Nightborne being one of those, but i deal with that by not constantly trying to ruin threads about them, and just ignore there existence.
For years and years there were only three cosmetic transmogs in the store. And now they’re gone. It’s just a handful of pets and mounts. I think you’re being a little overly dramatic.
This statement doesn’t sense, considering we carry around rockets, quivers, bags, and demons on our backs in many quests. And even our in game storage are actual bags.
Bags and carrying things on our back are a part of this culture in the game. I don’t know why you seem to think they aren’t.
Goblin and Gnomish engineers, along with Mimiron, would like to have a word with you.
We’re talking cosmetics, not actual bag space.
Oh, but the OP is using the fact that we carry things around as his reason for wanting a backpack. It can’t be both ways.
Don’t use me for your lies!
i said i wanted a cosmetic appearance multiple times!
Huh?
Cosmetic items are just that: cosmetic. Our physical storage space isn’t tied to transmog. So I don’t understand what you’re saying.
Do we make items that are called bags as professions? Yup. Is that part of the game? Yup.
Do we have quests where we carry bags and all sorts of other things on our backs? Yup.
Do we have items that are purely cosmetic and have nothing to do with our actual gear slots? Yup.
So if we have actual gear that gives stats and changes our character’s power, but also have cosmetics that are purely for transmog, where all exist as part of the game… please explain to me why we can’t reference inventory bags that we make in game and use to change our characters inventory alongside another cosmetic that’s purely for transmog.
You also mentioned several times how it’s logical that we should have a backpack because we carry items around and the military use them.
i used em as examples for why they would be for use of a optional transmog.
and you constantly say why backpacks are terrible idea when it’s clearly the opposite.
All items come from your cape!
but i dont have a cape!
Talking of which, what happened to quivers? They looked so cool, now hunters are pretty much arrows summoners.
ikr!?!? feels weird!
Yes, please and thank you.
