Seriously if I purchase the software and pay for gametime that means I would rather spend more time in gameplay than studying how to play the game or how to do a stupid quest.
Or do you own stock in Wowhead. No seriously if you have to spend the time in calculating that I need to do this on the second Thursday of the blue moon to get this gear or do this profession, etc. et al and then find myself not in the next expansion but next patch totally having to redo because you changed the rules/gear/whatever else.
Would you please expend some energy to make the game better so we can spend time in game play and not studying or playing catchup. Quality not reaching for the carousel ring.
Related: Does anyone know an addon that will post the top wowhead comment for an achievement instead of the achievement text? Although if they want to make the achievement tab descriptions better/longer with more context telling you what to do, I’d be for that.
You don’t need wowhead to play the game. Wowhead is a community made shortcut for people who don’t want to put the effort into actually learning things.
I am sure blizz is sorry the game isn’t easy enough for you. Maybe if they put in more feedback saying “Good Job” and “You’re the Best” like mobile games
I’m mostly just confused what issue you are complaining about. The overwhelming majority of players just… play the game. Folks who want to optimize their performance does that. Those who doesn’t care for it, don’t.
I fail to see what issue there is in letting players play the game how they want to play? Since that’s what folks are already doing.

You don’t have to study how to play the game to do the quests. The quests were designed for players who don’t want to do all that outside research. I know because I did quests since about the time Cat came out without looking at any of that material.
It’s only been since Follower Dungeons and Delves came out that I’ve been trying to up my game and I find that various AI sites like CoPilot and Perplexity are a lot more helpful than the various suggested sources that are constantly pounding you with ads so hard it is almost impossible to read the material.
I use the AI tools and only as a last resort do I go to those hyper ad generators.
The game is self-explanatory. The game started as very simple but after 20 years, it’s normal for it to evolve into something not simple. If you are not open minded that this game is 20 years old, I am very sorry that you are overwhelmed. Can you not blame yourself why you were not here 20 years ago? You are 20 years behind. Instead, why not be patient?
The game is still simple. Wowhead is there to summarize the new stuffs. It’s not the game’s fault when it grew for 20 years.
OP sounds like they need to go play classic. no mods, no lookups…like it was in 2004 lol.
you can for sure go play any version of wow that way. Your mileage may vary based on your skill and deductive reasoning skills…it is totally possible though.
that’s the elegant beauty of wow. You can play it however you would like. You don’t have to raid, do dungeons or even a single quest. You can just kill boars and mine or pick herbs all day.
the game can totally be played without wowhead and mods.
