How on earth was anyone supposed to find Mankrik’s wife without outside help?!
THIS was literally my introduction to using Wowhead and similar sources.

I hope she wasn’t cheating on him hes been waiting 20 years for me to find her
If I can be a casual Mythic raider that tests by playing instead of referencing a guide like it was gospel, I imagine that anyone could if they just put forth the effort to learn.
Only time I check wowhead is when there is a certain item or achievement that isn’t immediately obvious in the game.
Don’t blame optional sources for your own lack of effort.
The game is designed in such a way that it does not hold your hand. This has always been the case, even way back in 2004 when you had to read quest text to even know which direction to go, because no quest info appeared on your map.
Failure is an expected outcome. Getting up and trying again using what you learned is an expected outcome.
Crying on the forums about xyz being too hard is, unfortunately, an expected outcome.
WoWhead and other external resources are there as a shortcut that players have offered to one another. “Hey, I got up and tried again a bunch of times so this seems to be a good way to do this…”
It’s a 20 year old game. It’s a live service game.
Things change. You may have to use third party resources for the game. This is no different than the prima and Brady strategy guides that we used to purchase (not use for free like wowhead) 30 years ago for console games.
If you can’t be bothered to look anything up, then don’t, just play.
I can’t wait for you to post in a month, telling us the one-button functionality they add is too difficult.
What do you need help with OP?
I’ll help you, just lemme know.
I would make the obvious joke about Hello Kitty Island Adventure, but apparently it’s surprisingly deep and complex. It may be beyond OP’s comfort zone.
Some of those were THICK too. I think the one for FFXII was over 350 pages. That’s literally a book.
We were using Thottbot back in 2005. we’ve known for 20 years this game requires external assistance. Why are you only bothered by it now?
Well the good news is that theres going to be one button rotation, so you dont have to learn that
