That was my assessment as well. But his fan-fiction suggestion seems very real in his mind.
The sword that doesn’t exist and isn’t sticking out of Silithus would make a fine land bridge. Just hook up the Vindicaar and get a-towin’.
Don’t we still have rootlands saved for 11.2?
We all thought it was coming in 11.1, but it still looks on the table for 11.2.
Bel’ameth is literally blanked out of NPCs and quests, as you can tell it’s blatantly all held back for future patches as the next Dalaran hub.
My bet is rootlands has a tunnel to/from bel’ameth and that drained lake in the south part of hallowfall.
Also, reminder that bel’ameth got its own portal. The Emerald Dream already has one in valdrakken. Only reason for Bel’ameth to get its own is if 11.2 or 12.0 are using bel’ameth heavily soon™.
Extra reminder more bel’ameth portals are also in Hyjal and darkshore as well. Blizz doesn’t do things for nothing, so it’s going to be a a main city for an upcoming xpac or patch.
I’m not sure Outlands would ever be pulled in and placed on Azeroth. I feel like they would have to redesign the zones quite a bit and do a very big build up to it. But that’s just my take. No real knowing what the devs are up to.

Counter offer:
AU Draenor comes to the main universe to escape the collapsing timeline. During the trip, it pulls outland out of the twisting nether and into the planets upper atmosphere.
Outland’s skybox is now a normal sky, with Draenor far below it, while Draenor’s skybox now has outland floating above it.
You can sell that to him lol I have already been to outlands and draenor. I am not interested in third expansion that deals with that planet, and those orcs.

Oh, I talked about it there as well. but sometimes when someone has their heels dug in about their opinion, it’s just easier to go open a new topic of conversation and prove whether or not the public even likes their theory. when it happens in the thread, there’s always a chance people will take sides, especially when they don’t like one of you or the other. However, if I bring the topic elsewhere and open it up to general discussion, then we really get to gauge what people legitimately think about the idea.

If you have never seen Full Metal Jacket, I highly recommend you find it streaming somewhere and watch it. Then think about everything that happens in that movie, could the hundreds of moments that would cause certain folks to absolutely riot ever truly be remade?
