Hopped into the queue for a heroic. I’m not comfortable healing in them with my disc priest yet, but I’ve gotten through two as shadow DPS. Hoping to gear up a little better first before healing.
Waited 16 minutes, got dumped into an in-progress heroic that was totally unfamiliar to me, I’m assuming it was End Time? There were bones everywhere. Group was already arguing. They told me to stay put while the warlock summoned me. That never came. Then they tried to avoid trash to get to me. Group wiped. (it WAS end time, it was in the caverns of time!)
I left, got the deserter debuff. Ah well.
Those sort of situations are where it feels a little unfair to get the debuff. I was thrown into an unfamiliar environment, no one knew what they were doing.
Started WotLK as balance, quit for resto and never queued DPS again. Got tired of healers acting like all that matters is keeping the tank alive. Have 3 tanks and 4 healers. Any spec I didn’t play through leveling, I took through lower difficulty dungeons to learn the rotation without making my lack of experience everyone else’s problem. Rather be OP/overgeared while practicing than a flailing er elsewhere. But that’s just me.
First. The frustration from your end is understandable. The 3 lorr dungeons that accompany Dragon Soul have heavy RP and without thr context of that RP it can be confusing.
However, the group did know the dungeon. It sounds like they were poorly attempting some trash skips and got punished for it.
