I went to do my first Heroics the other night and got kicked for being undergeared. I tried H Furnace and H Ramps and got kicked from both. I’m a Holy Priest btw. So I was wondering what are the easiest Heroics to begin with?
You gear up in Kara first?

Can’t say unless I knew what you were working with. If you are in greens, no heroic will be easy for you. Let us know what your stats look like, and we can steer you in the right direction.

You can find heroic tier lists all over the internet. BF and Ramps are both pretty hard, despite being the 2 first normal dungeons (BF is usually listed as one of the hardest overall.)
The coilfang ones are all pretty easy. SV is probably one of the easiest heroics overall with SP being right behind. BM/OHB are also pretty easy and the rep is pretty easy to get.

You don’t have to be super geared for heroics, you just need to run with your guild, week 2 of TBC we where doing Shatted Halls which isn’t an easy one at all, and yea while we wernt wearing greens, our Tier 3 tank was a little low on HP, but we did it. It really depends how the group is going to tackle it.
I have the hallowed chest, shoulders, and hands. Can’t remember the rest of my gear.
Later on when you have time to get on the game, provide us with the following with only your own buffs on and no consumables.

Just under 1k raw healing power.

You might be okay in some heroics with this… ideally I’d like 1200 healing for heroics. There’re some good pieces that drop in the normal level 68-70 dungeons. I’d try to get as many blues from those before hopping into heroic. You’ll earn rep along the way, and there are a few decent pieces you can get from rep vendors.

Get AtlasLoot. Comb through the level 70 5 mans and reps looking at the drops relevant to you. Chart a course through them til you feel like 5 mans are a snore to heal (the usual breakpoint is when you can actively DPS for fun while still healing a tank that doesn’t over gear the content with no issues) then start with like H SP/Bog.
Buy or craft your boe and crafted epics first, then attune to kara and hopefully get a piece or two. Will probably get funneled items this late into phase 1.

Heroic blood furnace is debatably the hardest heroic. Ramparts is middle of pack. I would recommend SP/SV/mech/AC to begin with. I find some healers tend to underestimate the damage in heroics at times. The best advice imo would be: don’t be afraid to blow your entire mana bar and cds when needed. Heroics aren’t difficult but can be challenging depending on your group….

BF mobs hit hard, i got globalled my first pull there.

Are you in a guild?
Get a heroics crew, including a mage or a hunter for cc… I was a stickler for being in discord with my healer when i first started heroics.
Pugging without overgearing heroic content seems unfun. Lol…
blah i did it np on my tank… its all about making sure you coordinate groups
some pug groups are beyond coordination.

i dunno WInehouse… it doesnt take much to make a macro and assign cc to icons or if your ballsy/overgeared lol nuke.
Not H bf, anything but that. W/o discord and skilled DPS, no pug is getting past 2nd boss

Heroics were originally designed & intended as an alternative progression route for people who didn’t enjoy 25/40 large scale raiding. Back in the original WoW days, there were two very different camps of players in terms of raiders & non-raiders & Blizzard was making an attempt to accommodate both to one degree or another. That was also why Blizzard introduced the 0.5 dungeon sets & extended questlines back in the later phase of Vanilla.
Most heroics are actually harder than Kara when both are done in similar/same gear, & kara has a quicker & easier attunement process than getting keyed for all the various heroics. So, it is sort of ironic that Kara has somewhat better gear & all epic boss drops vs what drops in heroics (most especially the 70 dungeons which drop all the same gear as their heroic versions (plus a token epic at the end), thanks to lazy Blizzard design/itemization).
