Yeah brann dps is not really useful, unless I suppose you’re going for a speed kill, but I wonder if the DPS lost to self healing is worth it.
The one time I was really glad for DPS brann…
I had not killed him at all yet, and I was doing attempts on my resto druid. I started getting him low… 20%… 15… 10… and I started getting real nervous and had to tell myself to keep it together. Then it was just over. I had forgotten that DPS brann executes bosses at 5%.
I might go back to it and try again since i have not much to do
I’m a bit bored atm so i should maybe give it a go, but there are just so many things i don’t like about the fight, i even hate the room and how cramped it makes me feel, i get really flustered when I’m stuck in a tight space with my camera view in tight or forced to play close to my enemies lol
I think if i wanted the reward i’d probably care more, but it’s just a skin for a mount that i already have (and don’t use).

You mentioned this in another thread - specifically that you killed him in under 3 mins by basically zerging the boss.
My dk is up to 601 now, and frankly I’m a little suspicious. Sure there’s a big difference between 610 and 601, but at 601 I have to use 100% of my damage CDs on eggs, and even then it’s pretty dicey. I have not killed him yet, but have gotten to p2 multiple times, so it’s def doable, but 3 mins at 610 seems unrealistic unless you’re using a 639 weapon and trinkets and downgrading your other gear or something gimmicky like that.
Heal yourself with Flash of Light to deplete your mana, 3 heals normally does it, he’ll drop a campfire then.

I definitely didn’t have a 639 weapon back then, but it was probably the 626 or whatever the ilvl of the tier below gilded, also do you have your 4 set?
Worth noting as a DK you’re in a somewhat unique situation of being able to naturally sustain yourself against constant high physical damage.
I used some of the healing Citrines on accident when I did Zekvir on my Mage, but honestly I felt the healing provided allowed me to not depend on Brann so much. Of course Mage has no passive self-healing so a class with some might find it less useful.
No, I hit 80 this week and I’m a solo delver, so I have no set pieces. I’m only even 601 due to the siren isles ring.
But just poking around on youtube there are unholy kills at ~612 for example that are like 5.5 mins. Doing it in less than 3 is incredible.
Just for my own curiosity, I went in there on my 619 fury war with 5/5 set and it took just about 5 mins, using all cds on Zek. That’s a solid 2:30 just to get to phase 2.
UH DK might have really good burst but it’s hard to believe you’re getting him dead in < 3 mins at ilvl 610 without something really wonky going on. That’s a sustained > 1 million single-target DPS on zek for 3 full mins, despite all the other stuff going on. It’s suspicious at the very least. With your current gear, I suspect you could get him down in 3 mins, but not much less than that.
I’m not saying it’s impossible… I’m pretty open-minded, but I’m struggling to see how your claim is possible. Why don’t you record a sub-3-min kill in your current gear? That would at least demonstrate that it’s possible.
Also I might point out that with Brann as DPS, you’re not getting any spittle dispels. UH DKs most definitely can survive that, but it’s a big DPS hit, and if you get a little unlucky and have to dodge a fear, for example, when you have spittle, you might die. I’m wondering how you managed that.
edit: for good measure I tried on my fury war with brann as DPS. i didn’t kill him, but i got him well into P2, and brann interrupted some spittles, which is pretty useful and works against the lack of heals, but even so, me and brann full-on dpsing the boss got him to p2 in just over 2 mins
I know I said I used summon abom twice, so thats 1.5m CD each, so it was definitely over 3 minutes, I might have mispoke at some point
4-5 is probably the more accurate one since I never really timed it
Pop AMS during his cast and you don’t get the debuff

You don’t need Execution Sentence for cocoons. Wake > Hammer > TV should be enough to finish it off.
In like my current gear, I’d maybe be able to do it 3 but thats a bit more than the 610 area I was originally doing it in lmao
4 is a comfortable area probably when you look at ability CDs
Also just remember to try to keep him away from the walls so he won’t spawn an egg on the other side of the arena cuz thats alotta downtime running over
