I have sent in 3 different support tickets about this.
One other guild member also submitted a ticket.
We have been unable to receive help.
Every week, for the last (now 10) weeks, my guild has gotten together to try an complete the achievement [Heroic: Ragnaros Guild Run]. We are 100% meeting the criteria. Attending the raid with 8-10 guild members every week. Our guild log SHOWS that we have killed heroic ragnaros as a guild… yet we still haven’t earned the achievement.
I know that this is a trivial achievement as it has no rewards beyond some achievements points, but my whole guild theme is about achievement hunting, and this is the -only- old world guild raid achievement we have not been able to get credit for.
Images to PROVE the guild logs are showing we’ve killed him.
First one has the guild banner visible on the minimap even.
Runs were also completed several weeks prior to this before we realized it was going to be an ongoing problem that we should have been documenting.

** Completed after prepatch level squish, still unable to earn achievement.
- I asked the GM of the guild {Honor}, who also plays on my realm, if he could get his guild together, and they too were unable to unlock the achievement.

I’ve personally been there for 4 out of 5 of these runs, and can confirm–We meet all the criteria, yet the achievement has yet to be awarded to the guild. To put it bluntly, it’s very frustrating for us, as wrangling enough members into doing the achievement is hard enough. Not getting what we came for? Salt in the wound.
As an officer in this guild I have attended all of these attempts. It is exceptionally frustrating. I understand older content is basically pushed to the wayside in favor of new flashy content; however if this is something that is awarded to players it because it is older it should work properly. We are not asking you give us a mount, item, or even a title just one of the most basic achievements in game so we can fulfill our guilds driving purpose in game. Achievements. I am not going to say I am going to unsubscribe or stop playing because of this minor flaw, but it should be worth noting us trying to do it the Blizzard way and getting nothing from it. We need this to be moved up to the next level of attention so that we can have it fixed. Thank you for your time.
Bumping this for further attention, so hopefully it’ll get to the right people on the dev team.
It’s really infuriating that not only do we have screenshots, video evidence and guild logs that show we have completed it and yet we can’t the achievement for killing Ragnaros. 6pm server Saturday if a GM wants to sit in on it and watch us down him again instead of giving us the answer “we can’t prove you did it”
When you look at your minimap, does the player size banner show your guild colours as well?
If not then you don’t have a “guild group”.

Yes! It does, it has our guild tabard logo there every time we have killed him. And thank you for advice about the links.

Is it because now Firelands has been fitted into a Timewalking Flex raid like Ulduar, you’ll need more people to fill the 20/25 criteria rather than the 8/10?
No, if the player size shows the guild banner then the group qualities as a guild group. It is the most obvious way to make sure. Hence why I asked about it earlier.
When it’s not available as timewalking… (I’m assuming it’s only available during cata timewalking, never tried) you can actually only do this raid on 10m. It’s no longer able to be converted to 25m regardless.
No the raid is flexible regardless. It is just because the default minimum raid size for flex raid is 10 players is why there is not “25 man” setting for firelands anymore (same with Ulduar).
When more than 10 people try to enter the raid in my guild it tells them they can’t though? Which is why i was confused about the flex thing as well.
We had a guild group kill him again tonight, still didn’t get the guild achievement.

We would love to have this addressed–we’re tired of beating up Ragnaros every week, and he’s probably sick of seeing us every week.
