Before you had to do raids to get Valor tokens and that was the way it should of stayed. Now raids are harder and harder to get in. Less people than before are starting raids who are experienced to get valor tokens and now newer players have to form these raids without recent experience. This is a huge problem, Blizz wants to pretend this is just a catch up mechanic, but with the new gear, plus an easy way to farm valor why even farm older raids unless you need that one last trinket.
To some this is a positive because it saves them time, but World of Warcraft was originally never about saving you time and saving someone time does not make a good game experience. Now its easier than ever to just grind and gear up if you are willing to do Heroic Plus and get a lot of valor every day. Though I play this game because I want to raid and now its harder than ever to find a raid for places like Naxx 10 and 25.
