There is no rng whatsoever on this fight and its a loot pinata.
Get a better raid team.

Don’t stand in meteors and make sure your people are using focus kick macros, if you aren’t interrupting Halfus you’re going to simply wipe over and over.
It’s really easy
Beat it week 1 on heroic in a gdkp…
Same with defense fight, if you don’t focus interrupt arcane guy you’re going to wipe.
Those 2 fights require you to actually use interrupts on a target you aren’t fighting.

What RNG is in this fight?

Malevolent Strikes, so highest avoidance tank starts on Halfus. The fireballs to some extent as well. Nothing that impactful though.
And I guess if you’re really in the normal mode trenches the active dragons are random per reset.
Not sure I would count that as RNG, very simple loot pinata boss.
Yeah, there’s a little bit of RNG, but not enough to meaningfully affect the outcome.
It’s mostly just a gear check.
