Herod - The People's PvP Server

Someone tell Alexsentual to get off Herod.

He was one of the beta testers. He played on stream.

Private server players/devs are the reason why you are getting classic WoW. How about instead of spitting in their face, you show some gratitude.

You gonna build a wall to keep the South Americans out or will you just call ICE on them?

I’m sure your doctorate’s degree in random and arbitrary percentages off the top of your head, as well as your secondary masters degree in being a psychic on what the server load can handle are being well put to use.

You’ve no idea if the current modern tech can handle 5,000 people or 50,000 people. The servers in 2005 were holding 3,000 people online at a time, spread out throughout the world doing their various things. Server technology is literally thousands of times better. The advent of M2 solid state hard drives alone makes the bottleneck way way bigger.

Why don’t we just not assume, and see how things unfold. No point in arguing unknowns.

Would it affect me as a Pacific player to play on an eastern server, so much so that it would be a better choice to roll on a pacific pvp server such as Faerlina or Whitemane. As my guild and friends alike plan to base on Herod and I would like to follow them unless it would lead to a suffering of my overall experience

You’ll get ~50ms worse latency and you’ll have to log into raids at 5PM.

If that doesn’t bother you, then the answer is no.

the best there was, the best there is and the best there ever will be.

so what power they have in game that you dont? im sure u can bring a group yourself and clear them out. i know they have alot of “fans” that will do anything for them but im sure if you get enough people on your side u can stop them. im pretty sure if they were breaking the rules you could report them? so i dont see the problem.

5Pm local or server time

So wait, you want to roll on Herod because it has a full population. Which lets just say is 20k players. If each layer has 3k on it. Thats 7 Layers. Thats 16-17k players you WONT see. you WONT meet. For potentially months.

Now lets say you do meet some cool people. They get invited to another layer. You now never see them again. I dont see how rolling on a over populated server is at all a benefit.

It actually sounds like current BFA WoW. hahaha

Local time, you’ll be playing with people three hours ahead of you.

5 pm local is the perfect time for me since im not at school or work

ehh let people play where they want, it hardly affects the individual, like it affects you or me a lot less than people think it does, dont let speculation and hearsay and what you actually see on a stream ruin a mood

From personal experience it does matter where you play especially if it is infested with twitch jockeys. Imagine your friends getting to lvl 60 by the time you get past the 40k+ queue

Hi I’m Firemagic
On classic’s release date I will be getting server first message in trade chat on herod horde side ofc

You make it sound like your character is bound to a specific layer until layering is gone or you join a group in another layer. This isn’t the case, simply changing locations can effect what layer you are on.

You need a whole lot of help. Massive quantities of it. Holy cringe batman.

Asmong said he was gonna roll in Faerlina and I believe other streamers are going there as well. Personally I’m going Whitemane, people say it’s a “weeb/4chan” server so I’m gonna feel just at home in it
