Where did you get this info? Do you really think they would do that? I imagine it would annoy their communities a fair bit.

So, is there any way to figure out the faction population balance for Herod?
Is it a nice even split between Horde and Alliance?
Or is it leaning one way or another?
My only real concern is an uneven population that might make for painful world PvP for one faction if there isnât a solid balance.
How come most of us have been playing on private servers? If you take a look at the brazilian servers on retail, we have been keeping two servers on full pop, one on high pop and two on medium pop for years (if you exclude the WoD exp which caused a huge drop at the time). Private brazilian servers are tiny compared to that.
In the end, we all want the same thing: our own server. BUT, just like NA players donât want to play with us, we also donât want to play with the rest of SA for the very same reason (language barrier). I think the best would be if Blizzard opened one brazilian server and one SA server for spanish speakers.

a 7 to 10 minute login que is a small price to pay for a heavily active server with lots to do, and a thriving economy and easy access to lots of stuff on AH.

Oh boy.
If the queues are the same you will not be getting in as quickly as you did for the name reservation on launch day.
Biggest concern right now is faction balance. Leaning Faerlina but also not trusting any Reddit poll (no matter how well that was organized - not knocking it).
Queue times wonât be extreme after a couple days. Most normies will see High pop and a queue and pick a different server.
I actually tend to do the opposite of this. I like having a population that is higher because it will be more developed. I know i might have to deal with more people, but that just gives me more people to meet. Remember that Classic isnât a single player game, so you WILL need people to help you. The less people isnât necessarily going to be better.
