Herod - The People's PvP Server

All these people so obsessed with what server you’re on, smh. Just play where you want.

There’s a 500% chance that if you’re on a big streamer’s server that there will be counter-streamer guilds who go out of their way to camp the crap out of them if they start disrupting things. Asmongold is whiny enough that if 5 Rogues start following him around wherever he goes he’ll just go back to retail.

Yea was talking about streamers and the massive attention they direct towards themselves. It will detriment them on a PVP server, I am not bothered at all about different languages being around the community. Might learn some cool stuff that way about different people. (sorry for the confusion in my post)

looool if this is the case I just hope that realm transfers don’t become a thing and everything eventually settles to a nice place.

Have you ever played a new MMO on a server with streamers? I have with Archeage. I played on the server that Cohncarnage and all the other streamers joined. I have nothing against them. I watch a lot of the streamers. Their fans are just regular players who like being a part of something.

The problem lies in their fan population. It tends to fall off precipitously if the streamer stops playing the game. Creating a huge faction imbalance, which is incredibly problematic on a PVP server. Where as the rest of the population ebbs and flows in a much smoother manner. A streamer can add thousand of players to one side and can remove them almost as quickly.

That is a real issue on a PVP server where many players consider World PVP to be the end game, and would hate the sides to be 50/50 only to wake up the next week and the sides to be 90/10.

You mean an issue on any server? Where people get bored and stop playing…people aren’t logging on hoping Cdew is on and they can maybe get into his stream for a second…

I was on Tich with literally every streamer…never had an issue.

Was on Kelthuzad with again all the streamers…no issues…

I’m seeing more toxic behaviour from the forums who are non streamer fans than anyone else…literally 4+ topics a day about streamers… I have never seen such hate for a group of people in my life inside of a video game. Like you all just want segregation against them…sorry I just don’t see the way you all see it.

You can be a fan of the entertainment a streamer provides and not want to play with them. It doesn’t mean you “hate” them, they just provide a different dynamic to the game in which, unwilling to themselves things like server events / talk is always focused on them to the point that others miss out on content. Personally, I am gonna roll Herod regardless of if streamers play there or not and attempt the common sense mindset of play how I would normally play and have fun along the way.

My bet is the streamers roll on Herod. According to Staysafe, they’ve already conclusively said they won’t be rolling on either Fairbanks or Thalnos. They’re both PVP, one is PST and the other is EST. It’s either going to be Herod of Faerlina for them. So yeah, if you’re looking to definitively dodge the streamer zerg, those two realms should be safe bets. Staysafe is close with Esfand, and Esfand is close with Asmongold. It’s a pretty safe bet that they’re all going to be on the same server.

I want to dodge it. I have no issues with streamers being on my server. I support all 3 of those guys I mentioned and have subbed to all 3 in the past or all at the same time. I just want to avoid the spergs that follow their every foot-step in game. I’m sure a lot of them are cool people but there’s gonna be a lot of idiots in that zerg as well. No thanks. I’ll have enough bads to deal with on whatever server I roll on anyway.

The level of absolute babying that this playerbase requires is sad

No, what’s really sad is the end of Old Yeller :sob::sob::sob: poor puppers didn’t deserve to go out like that.

Tune in when servers are live and streamers are on Herod. I’ll be giving you tons of entertainment in the form of their mass QQ.

The small streamers are not the problem. any streamer who can pull over 1k viewers are the problem. I am wondering why you would not want to play with the streamer server if you want to make a name for yourself on streams. on a streamer server as a smaller streamer you could leach viewers off of the big streamers.

Herod, the people’s sever is decided. I’ll be there,

Any time I see “The People’s Anything” my first instinct is to scoff and go, “Yeah… bet it really doesn’t belong to the people.”

I agree with you, but what are you going to do? Asmon filled TWO guilds with 1000 people, and was rolling around with a train of a couple hundred people wherever he went.

We won’t really be able to fight them.

Easy. Most his his mindless mass isn’t geared well. Just out hoping his lord and savior will notice him. So we match their numbers. Organize. We already outmatch them in a straight up fight. They only have overwhelming numbers as a weapon, take that and their precious streamer is cake. And that is exactly what I am attempting to do. Many people are fed up and don’t want them to corrupt Classic. Far more don’t like that crowd than are actually in it. My goal is to mobilize that and DO something about it since Blizzard seems to not care.

I mean… 5 level 40s can easily kill a geared 60 (other than maybe a decked prot warrior, or a druid who can flee)

100 level 30s will probably wreck you.

Exactly why we all mobilize and match them. We take their overwhelming numbers from them. It’s not even close to a fair fight at that point.

I support this idea, but remember: if you want this to be taken seriously, you need to have a group of people who are willing to drop everything and go stream sniping immediately if major streamers are found on your server.

It needs to be entire guilds. It needs to happen every time one of these people is found.

You can’t just occasionally show up with like 20 people 2 hours into the stream.
