I could, in theory, swap out all of the models for the modern ones. It wouldn’t be very hard, and I’m 60% certain that the toggle for them is still hidden in the code somewhere.

A standalone auto invite addon can be used in conjunction with literally any possible way that you can think of to tell people to /w you the keyword to get an invite. You don’t need the addon for that. I can just type out the message to tell people to /w invite to me to join my group with the stand alone addon.

so the LFG add on would be automated with this feature. This is even more troubling.

SO then take it up with any addons that actually do that. Dude, it’s just code. Literally every single addon in the game can have the code added to it that if someone whispers you a keyword, it sends an invite. You can tie that onto any possible addon you can think of.

You’re fighting this addon over the fact that code exists in Blizzard’s API.

becouse, it dosent belong in classic, thats why it needs to be prevented in the first place… the social aspect of playing wow, is a very important part of the play, its not something you should be able to go afk, and then come back and have a fully created group tank, healer and three dps… if that is possible, then it needs to broken so you cant do it…

if you want your addon that allows you to use chats, thats fine, thats not the big issue, the issue is what it can do, and the consequence of that possibility…

And if you watched Omar and Birmingham, what was the one thing they dident want in classic ?

Your issue is with any standalone addons that auto-invite, or with Blizzard’s API which allows auto-inviting after keywords are sent. Pick one CORRECT target of your issue, and go after that. Or both if you want to.

Unless blizzard decideds to remove /invite and keyword invites etc… then there is no way to stop an auto invite LFG tool in classic. Either from an ingame addon, a discord addon, or other third party app like open raid etc…

It doesn’t disincentive people from building relationships. Reputation, building friendships, social interaction will all be more available and meaningful with this addon.
