You can find both because they are plentiful.
You could farm an herb other than terrocone and actually make better profits, but that’s up to you.
Everyone’s farming terrocone, that’s why you can’t find any. Maximum profit-based routes are easy to develop, with specific respawn timers, a static number of node locations, and a set amount of herbs that must be present in any given patch of nodes.
Given that data, it’s pretty easy to come up with a 5 minute cycle to route your flight through over and over.
If you’re going clockwise or counterclockwise around the map and not taking the above into consideration, you’re for sure not going to find herbs.
But even then, it’s hard to break someone’s cycle and start taking their herbs from them.
So… go farm something else, or farm at hours when there are far less players on, but just know, the ones you see on in the zones are mostly doing what you’re about to go do.
Does the OP have an epic flyer or regular? Before I got my epic flyer I would ride around on my ground mount to pick Terocone and while there were plenty of epic flyers around farming I would still get a good amount of Terocone for the work I put in. Somedays were better than others and like someone said, if you are logging on at peak hours then expect others to be doing the exact same thing as you. And like someone else mentioned, try to stick to a certain area and not cover as much ground. Pick an area that you know not as many people are farming so intensely and run your route both clockwise and counter.
Mana Thistle will always be a problem. On my server there are always people camping those tiny areas where it spawns but you either want it or you don’t. I want it and while I am LFG I camp it and spam at the same time. It works out pretty good because it takes forever to find tanks and forever to get that stack of Mana Thistle. I think that each Mana Thistle goes for 14g on my server so picking 6-7 in 15 min is already almost 100g. Not bad to me.
Good luck with your farming and remember that a lot of people get discouraged when you beat em to that node so just be diligent and make people quit before you do.
Kinda’ like the announcement you’ve been asked to trot out where Blizzard said they were decreasing herbs? Plentiful like that?
No one can seem to find that either - yet you keep claiming it exists.

Better to ban the bots then anything, if herbs were more common the price would crater and you would complain that a stack of terocone only nets 10g. I like getting 200+ gold for mana thistle, or 75g per terocone stack.
