Please do something about this Blizz. Leveled herbalism so I could enjoy making my own potions and consumable for raid, not so that I could have a wasted profession and spend my gold on herbs instead of (still) trying to save up for Epic flying.
They moved them all to the alliance lootboxes

There are basically 0 herbs on mankirk
I’ve heard this is really bad on PVE servers.
I can still find them on my high pop PVP server with one layer but i used to be able to find about 3 times the herbs.
They increased the populations on servers by a ton and didn’t adjust resources. It was a problem in Classic and it’s even worse in BC.
It’s awful.
Already announced reducing total herbs and increasing the time between respawn about 45% and similar for mining ores. Combatting bots and overfarming.
It is good to see something done.
I haven’t seen them say any such thing.
Glad you’re not in charge of real life problems, like food shortages.

No one is starving in any sense of the word and Blizz is actively combatting these botters.

Did you read the part about leveling herb/alch to enjoy a profession and make my own consumable? Or did you skip over the part about still trying to save up for Epic flying?
There is an herb famine brought about by too many players crammed on servers - servers that were never designed for that many people. If the population increases the resources need to increase or yes, there is a shortage. This isn’t rocket science.
The idea that making even fewer resources available will fix a shortage is just nuts.

you can pick up skinning - there will never be a shortage of beasts. of course that’s also why there’ll never be any value in selling them…

What about something like - making herbs useable by multiple people (like retail), or having herbs spawn in other zones, or something weird like having a cap on herbs per hour like dungeons?

You are doing something very wrong if you have not earned enough for the epic flying and another 5K gold in the bank minimum at this point. You must not be herbing at all.
I have an epic flying mount and have since the minute I hit 70. There is an herb famine and it doesn’t matter if you have an epic flyer or not - terocone and mana thistle aren’t farmable.
That’s the problem - they CAN’T. Try to follow along.

@Cromagnon - As Bodicca said, this isn’t about how much gold I do or don’t have - it’s about not being able to utilise my profession for my own use (consumables), rather than to sell everything on the AH. Congratulations on your Epic mount, but again not the point of this post.
If there were herbs for me to be herbing, I would be in game trying to get them, rather than posting on forums (with people going off topic about how much gold I have, rather than the problem of lack of herbs) to try and get the attention of a Blizzard employee.
