I submitted a bug report but also wanted to see if anyone else knew if there was a reason the Helpful Workshop Bot isn’t tradable like the other Children’s Week Battle Pets are.
I got a second Helpful Workshop Bot so I could give it to a friend of mine who isn’t able to play right now. I learned the pet, as we also have to do to add to our collections. When I went to cage the robot, the option to cage is not there.
Has anyone read anything about why this one pet isn’t tradable?

There are SOME pets that you cannot cage to prevent them from being traded for secret blizzard reasons. On this particular pet this may or may not be a bug sadly.

I checked WarCraftPets - and it shows that pet as Not Cageable.

Well, that bites…I am gonna have to tell my friend that I can’t give the bot pet to him. That was the only one he wanted. I was really hoping that it was just a bug.
I can’t say with certainty if it is intended or not, Aryeana. Your best option is just to report it as a bug, as you have, so QA can take a look.
If the pet should be able to be caged, they’ll figure it out and update it if so.

I just checked my own Helpful Workshop Bot and I was able to cage it just fine, so I’d try a UI reset and see if that clears things up.

Thank you for that information Keriss. I will do a UI reset and hopefully it will work. This gives me hope at least.
Update: I did a UI reset as Keriss suggested and it worked. I now have the Helpful Workshop Robot caged in my bags to give to my friend when he can return to game.
THANK YOU to Keriss and to Vrakthris for your suggestions.
