Hi I decided to download this addon but am immediately overwhelmed and could use some help if anyone has it. I tried youtube but none of them encountered my problems
Some auctions are able to be posted, but when I tried to post runecloth nothing happens. I hit post auction like anything else and it just has a greyed out “post” and “done posting button” info says “cheapest auction below min price”
I have a stack of 20 light feathers, and it only lets me post 5 at a time, giving me a “maximum amount already posted” message in the info column. Seems like it randomly lets me post more after a couple minutes. Anyway to change this?
So far not happy at all with this addon, but it’s a lot faster than Auctioneer so I want to learn it.
There’s some settings to adjust min/max post amounts, maximum values, minimum values, etc. Many, many options to tinker with. I suggest watching a tutorial on it on YouTube.
Hey, i just downloaded this too and been dealing with this exact thing…
I looked into it, and TSM seems to be looking at the BID prices on auctions as well… So there are many people who seem to post very low bid prices (and then normal buyouts)… so when TSM compares the “minimum price” value to this low bid… it thinks “oh this auction is below the min price, can’t post it”.
So, idk i’ve looked in settings and there doesn’t seem like a way to just… keep it from looking at the bid amount… since that’s not really relevant anyway.
TSM couple years ago was smooth and intuitive. They’ve since completely redesigned the UI for it and it’s the opposite now. Not very intuitive at all. My advice is join the TSM discord, they will help you out quickly with whatever you need. However, TSM made my wow take 20 years to launch so I deleted it for Auctioneer. Another thing old TSM never used to do. Also the TSM desktop app doesnt function how it used to either, which is garbage.
The “exceeds maximum bid” setting is easy to tweak and there are a couple solid YT vids for recommended settings. +1 on the discord. They are a good group of people.
I think the BC database/servers in general got an injection of junk and hamsters lately. Can’t pinpoint it.
usually when it will not post it will tell you the reason in your chat. Like “item” is below your minimum blah blah. If you do to the TSM website and check out some scripts and how to’s you probably can learn quite a bit.
I’m not an expert by any stretch and agree with the overwhelming-ness of it at first, but this message means that it thinks you should hold on to your runecloth because it’s selling at rock bottom prices.
If you go to /tsm → Operations → Auctioning Operations → #Default → Posting and find the line:
“When Below Minimum:”
Change that setting to one of the other options. Alternatively, if you look at the “Minimum Price” calculation, there’s a check function there that says 1.5*vendorsell. That means it won’t sell anything for a value that’s less than 50% more than selling it to the vendor would net.
So if Runecloth sold for 1s a piece, it won’t put up auctions for less than 1s 50c a piece.
In the same posting section, raise the Post Cap to 200. You may also want to raise the Stack Size if you want more than 1 per auction.
Likely because someone outbid you so it’s posting 5 more at the lower price.
