Hello, my phone number (which is not prepaid or voip) is flagged by your system as a faulty number, and this prevents me from adding an authenticator to the account. Other posts have talked about using a mobile authenticator, but when I install the mobile authenticator on my phone it rejects my phone number. I am my guilds raid leader and being unable to list raids is unnacceptable. How do I procede with setting up an authenticator?
Unfortunately, if your number is listed as being either prepaid or voip (even if it actually isn’t) there is currently no work around that I’m aware of to add the authenticator ![]()
I wish there was, but a while back they changed the ability to add just an authenticator by adding the requirement of having SMS attached to it too.
I’d recommend that you provide feedback directly to Blizz via the in-game suggestion feature.

You could put a ticket in on this, Dekoba. It’s rare - but there are times a number may be flagged incorrectly.
We really aren’t over that - but sometimes we can get it looked into.
