Your team captures a graveyard.
How many minutes does it take for the graveyard to be fully captured?
Should nobody defend it in the meantime? Should nobody watch it afterwards?

If your talking about snowfall, why woudl you capture that to begin with?
Also, you never once get in a fight with -anything- for the entire time you ride to the graveyard, then you just stand on the graveyard? Graveyards have guards ya know.
NPCs are everywhere to smack. Opposing players exist?
I feel like some players have never defended a key location before while the rest of their team runs ahead.
You spend minutes staring at a flag and you might not get any PvP action if the other team doesn’t show up. However, it’s really important that your team doesn’t lose control of that graveyard/bunker/tower/base.
Someone has to watch it. Now, you’re suggesting that they get no honor for doing the boring stuff that other players don’t want to do.

Well, that doesnt work right there.
If you annihilate people coming to your officers, before they even touch him, you get no honor?
if you are say a rogue, stun locking enemy players to die in the arrow volleys, you get no honor.
Capping the mines etc, no honor?
I doubt real AFKing is as big an issue as people being kicked for fake AFK flagging.
They can boot people instantly, who are defending, so you can instantly boot real AFK’s just as easy i would imagine?
I agree with the fishing, however, Blizz added the quests into the BG, so unless they remove it, people should expect some people to do the quests.

Apparently “has always been” & “change” are synonomous to you. Good luck with that in life. 
Apparently Classic = vanilla + modern infrastructure is news to you. The change you are asking for is Blizzard wide. Long hard road ahead of you for that change.

Go ahead, link that Blue post claiming being AFK is breaking the rules. Maybe you should do some rereading.

you can be “defending” but actually tabbed out trolling the forums and they have no way to prove that either way.

you can be defending and running around in a circle doing absolutely nothing at all. and you’d still be defending. do you think they’re gonna report someone as a bot for running in a circle?

You understand that bots do this & they get banned all the time, right? Again, I just listed one other component of the methodology (out of many, which I will not go into detail about here).
They should add a fishing quest to AV.
They can check. Guess that means they ban for it too. No where has anyone ever claimed Blizzard can’t check for idle.
