Leaning towards balance/resto Druid, but I hear resto is a bit meh. I like healing and Holy Pally seems like a very easy strong healer to play. Priest and Lock seem good but I’ve played them quite a bit in SoD and might be a bit burnt out on them.
In what context? I’d pry a bit when you hear that to see if people are basing their opinions on heresy based mostly on popular/strong arena team comps at the moment.
Having said that, I think all your choices seem very solid, with Druid giving the most versatility should you want to fit in for a different role or play other content, though I don’t think you’d roll any of what you’ve listed and regret that choice any time soon.
Decided no on Aff Lock cuz I’ve done it million times, plus he’s a gnome so the racial isn’t great.
Either going Worgen Balance Druid or Human Holy Pally. I haven’t really played either much.
My only problem with Pally is even tho I love healing it locks me into that roll, where with Druid I can play both.
It’s kinda tough to choose a class in Cata cuz they’re all kinda good mostly.
My gut tells me to go Holy Pally cuz it seems easier to play, but I dunno Druid is just so versatile, and seems like it can have more control over kill outcomes where pally is very passive healer.
If you also like arena id consider the fact that ret is really strong. Just a hybrid option to add to hpal like the druid has. Its basically a healer too lol. Arena it pops off anyway prob less so in rbg where meta is wizards & chickens.
If rbg is your only consideration cant go wrong with boomy stacking lol everybody wants em
Also about whats easy boomkin is maybe the easiest caster in the whole game. Its basically moonfire spam until you get star surge procs thats it for a dps rotation. Starfall/typhoon/solarbeam on cd and spam moonfire lol
I played both classes to level 30 and I’m enjoying the Paladin more.
Everything about Paladin just flows a lot better. I also think Holy/Ret is a better option for me than Balance/Resto, especially if I want to throw some arena in.
