This is a place to put tips and tricks on configuring the new UI. Post problems you’ve found and solved here to help others.

General feedback on the merits of the new UI can go in one of the many other threads please. Keep this for help and information.

So…

  • Rotate minimap is no longer an interface option. You need to go to edit mode, click on the minimap, and you’ll see the check box.

  • Make sure all addons are disabled before setting up the UI!

I noticed that when I get into bgs, the interface doesn’t show flag/orb carriers on the right side of the screen like it used to. Does anyone know how to turn it back on?

trying to figure out just how in the world do I pop the map up, to see the FULL map…so if I wanna look at say bfa zones, while I sit in orobos…the map doesn’t pop up now?

If you want to keep the sidebars but in a slightly-different position, the bag UI (and all the elements on the side) will automatically shift over and overlap with them. When you open your bag and pick an item up, the sidebars come to the front of the UI, covering some of the bag slots.

You can move the rest of the UI elements but there’s no way to manually adjust the bags so you’ll need to either get over it or leave the side bars in their default location.

I can open the map with the key (default m) or by clicking the zone name above the minimap. Once that’s open, just right-click on it to go out a level.

Does anyone know how to equip the new Reagent Bag, or is this function not yet available?

The reagent bags I believe are coming with the Xpac launch. Older reagent bags DO NOT WORK! (I tested)

If you have an issue with zombies in a small view floating next to all of your mouse-over descriptions, disable the AllTheThings mod.

Also, if the code underlying the UI is stable, the Bagnon mod provides a much better unified Bank/Bag view than the new Bliz version. Its windows can be moved in the player interface. - Note at this time, some days it works, some days it doesn’t.

Anyone know a fix for the buff Icon that covers your toon in the middle of the screen?

In the bottom left corner of your talent trees (Specialization & Talents) is a search box which is quite handy. You can search for greyed out spells on your action bars that worked before reset, or with one click have new abilities that are missing from your action bars highlighted in the trees.

i was told bartender4 can move it, which i can verify works. i haven’t found any other way to move it

If anyone can make sense of the horrible Action one bar, which no matter what i do, pushes all my buttons OFF SCREEN, please help.

I’m not sure what’s happening there. Here’s how I have mine. Number one is at the bottom, scaled to 100%. Two and three I moved above it, scaled to 70% each.

How do you move the BIG ACTION BAR at the bottom and make it a small size, same as the top two ones?
