Is there a chain to open up the towers quest?

You need to be friendly with Thrallmar or Honor Hold first.

Ok, I don’t know if it was that because I didn’t check my rep. What I did was a few quests through Felspark Ravine and then the next quest that escapes me right now. When I returned to Thrallmar the daily quest NPC had the quest that you have to do first before you get the daily.

Yes, you need to progress the first chain until you kill the demons, it’s very early in.

It is not related to being Friendly

The only thing you need to do to open the Hellfire Fortifications towers quest is to complete a certain quest or quest chain, depending on if Horde of Alliance. Do whatever quests you need to do to open these quests and complete them to open up the towers quest. You do NOT need friendly with Thrallmar or Honor Hold.

It may be the alliance quest line where you go through the Abyssal Shelf and then along that borth ridge until you kill the demon and close the portal. The demon drops a letter to start a quest.

Horde -
“Bonechewer Blood”
“Apothecary Zelana”
Now you can start doing Hellfire Fortifications.
You do NOT have to turn in the next quest in the chain “Spinebreaker Post”.

Alliance - I’m a rephoe so know the bare minimum to open up hellfire fortifications as I’ve done it 10 times:
Know Your Enemy
Fel Orc Scavengers
Ill Omens
you don’t have to complete the ‘welcome to outland’ or the quest ‘thru the portal’ if you were to want to rep grind in dungeons before doing rep quests (kind of pointless at this time)
