Still broken as today. I got stuck and cant go any further the RAID.
It just happened to me. I died to debuff Velhariâs garbage and the door doesnât want to open again. Damn it, Blizzard ⊠It gets tough.

Just happened to me too. Checked combat log and nothing hit me hard enough to kill me, but I died before Tyrant, and now Socretharâs doors are closed. Waiting for soft reset, will update. Please fix, Blizz!
Edit: Waiting for soft reset works! 30 minutes in another mog run and come back, doors are open.

3rd October and no fix yet, got stuck today damn it Blizzard :C
Man, this post wonât die. I guess it has a good google-able title.
My guess is this gets fixed and then circumstances from future patches continue to complicate it. Thatâs the only way I can figure that this is still a thing.

as for a relevant addition YES, it does still happen to me but I have found sort-of-solutions
When I start combat I do it with a taunt, body pull, or self-heal. You do something to get yourself on the table that wonât kill the boss. Then ⊠you wait. Like anywhere from 10-30 seconds, enough time for the doors to close and any hidden state changes happening behind the scenes to finish. Then, kill.
Yea so after I posted, I started running about 10 alts a week through HFC. If you die or the run is interrupted between killing Socrethar and Tyrant⊠whatever, the instance completely locks you out of the area between Socrethar and Shadow Priest. I typically just hearth to my garrison, log into another character for about a half hour, and then log into the previous character, and finish the raid. Costs a lot of time. Also, once in a blue moon, bosses donât drop loot. Thats rarely an issue but I bet it happens once a week if I run 10 alts.
yeah, Iâve done that too. But as you say, time consuming. Iâm not shuffling chars through atm but I might again one day. Hopefully better then.
Dude I know this is old but youâre exactly right. You donât go through the door the way it looks easiest on map you go around and down to him. Thank you lol

For anyone browsing this in 9.2 onward, the door near shadow lord iskar is the exit from fel lord zakuun, to get to fel lord zakuun you go in the east passage then take a left when you hit the T junction and go down towards fel lord zakuun.
