Ive gotten quite a few dozen “empty” hellcaller chest. Maybe its not displaying but its not in my chat or bags. I dont see hellstone shards either.

same thing happening to me
Bumping because this is lame, i did the event several times and only one chest gives loot and other two give nothing what so ever. Can we get some developers to do some work and fix some bugs?
Have you opened chests on any other characters or are these your first?

It’s not a bug. Read the text of the chest. It tells you that your first 10 are guaranteed to have shards, with a lesser chance coming from subsequent chests. You should still be receiving Valorstones, you can see that in your chat log, unless you’re capped.
An “empty” chest just means you got Valorstones.
Getting a lot of these today. No shards, not even vendor trash. Just completely empty chests.

I mean, we DO have a month nearly to complete this.
Just casually catching the goblins here and there, I’ve got everything the goblins can drop except for Tyreal’s Charger, and I’ve purchased three armor sets.
I don’t see the issue here.
The issue here is that some people have opened over 100 chests… and only ever got 12 shards. I opened 100 chests, and only my first 2 ever gave shards. I am hard stuck at 12 shards.
Then open a bug report if you feel the system is broken. Just remember, RNG is a fickle beast.
oh I have opened 2 tickets and reported a bug trust me… this is not RNG, when you first TEN are supposed to have guaranteed shards… lol.
Those are not bug reports.

How is that time gating? In two hours of farming Undermine I got enough for almost 4 of the Ensembles. The event goes all month.
You are not listening, some ppl are bugged, you may not be but some of us only got a total of 6 shards and have looted 80+ chests…we didn’t get any of the guaranteed shards

Just killed 3 goblins outside Dornogal at 5pm EDT, all 3 Hellcaller Chests were consumed without returning anything.
I received 6 shards from chest and 13 from the quest. I’ve opened over 100 chests and nothing more has dropped. It’s frustrating because people already have all the tier sets. Please fix this before reset Blizzard
Same 0 for 4 chests on this character. This was the first character I tried on today and it seemed to have some zoning bugs as well. When I switch characters I can loot the chests without issue.
