Heirlooms=No azerite on leveling characters. How do we feel about that?

So what LvL gear is sht
Scaling is sht
117-120 is sht (with azerite)
God forbid it go faster
W T F are you saying
AND LIKE I SAID “SCALING IS IN THE GAME SO NONE OF THIS MATTERS” YFDA.

I concur, it takes longer than 6-8 hours. I have leveled:

  • Ret. Paladin
  • Aff. Warlock
  • S. Priest
  • Fury Warrior
  • Outlaw Rogue
  • Frost DK
  • Hav. DH

On average, it takes about 12 to 24 hours to level from 110 to 120. On my Ret Paladin (who I used no Heirlooms as they weren’t out the day BFA hit) it took me 12 hours to level to 120.

The only time it’s been cut shorter has been with the use of Heirlooms. When using them, I manage to shave off a little over a half of the time - So that 8 hours you mention is possible with the use of Heirlooms.

The major problem I’ve noticed using Heirlooms is my DPS is heavily impacted - When I was using them on my Shadow Priest (which are big time squishy!) I started to notice my DPS fall off in groups. Which, given I have no Azerite Traits selected, isn’t a huge surprise, but we shouldn’t be made to choose or suffer.

What I think Blizzard should do is, let us make the heirlooms, but the buff for the EXP % gain be applied out of bags. Like iLvL usually is. Basically, you make the Heirlooms but keep them in your bags and the EXP % is still available to your character until 120.

Given if I have a Ring on that’s only 400 iLvL, but have in my bags a Ring for 430 iLvL, it’ll read that my characters iLvL is xxx/xxx giving me 2 different iLvLs. The same thing could be applied to Heirlooms.

It’s an easy solution, it allows the user to utilize both Azerite Gear and their Heirlooms for the reasons they are being used.

Old thread, but yeah, the primary stats on heirlooms absolutely need to be beefed for 110-120

I always make sure to equip one piece of azerite otherwise leveling is just difficult and inefficient with them, which defeats the purpose of them entirely.

When i was leveling my monk, if i pulled two on accident, i would be evaporated unless i used a cooldown.
