“Okay, what’s the deal?”
Like the name says, <East Azeroth Trading Co> is a guild centered around the ventures and exploits of the titular company.
Tonight we’re having some bad times at Scholomance High, and tomorrow we’ll be having our community outreach and monthly staff meeting, where the month’s plans are set in stone and we all check in with each other.
I would have bumped last night, but I got sidetracked with Tam running orientation with some new employees! They got a chance to explore the company grounds, chat with some branch directors and meet several of the people the other people they’d be working with!
Tonight, EATCo staff all come together to help R&D staff experiment with how to deal with exposure to Blight. It’s all part of our Undercity campaign; currently being helmed by one of our volunteer project leaders! And later this weekend, Jackbox games in Discord!
It’s Wednesday. Y’all know what that means.
It ain’t Monday, but it sure as heck ain’t Friday.
But last night though! Last night EATCo staff infiltrated a skypirate’s sky ship and through means of deception, smoke bombs, and violence we have procured a skyship!
Tonight however we will be playing a game in Orgrimmar called ‘The Silver Game,’ where the staff of EATCo will turning a single silver coin into profit!
Mark me words, I find the cut of your jib intriguing. Recently returned from an absence, says I, and I’ve got a weather eye on the horizon for new opportunities. Got a ship and a captain to sail it, among other plunder and riches to offer. Be interested in a parlay in the near future on how I can join your company? Forsake my piratin’ ways and go on accord with a privateering mark.

Leaving behind your piratical penchant, aye? I’d say that’s an absolute essential; hanging offense that it is. While Company Security doesn’t exclusively (or even mostly) engage in privateering, I as its director am quite fond of the practice, and we’ll put you to good work for certain. Fill out one of these fancy applications Ms. Tightclamps worked so hard on, and we’ll sign you aboard! No press-gang required!

Relaxing? Getting some time away from the constant toil and bloodshed? I sure hope you are. We here at the EATC do occasionally cease the adventure and productivity in favor of stopping to enjoy the fruits of our labor. Tonight, for example, Ms. Tightclamps, our Talent director, is running a social night where we’ll be breaking the ice with Question Dice and getting to know each other a bit! Always a good time! … Usually. Unless the “Oy, why’re you such a skaaaaank?” type fare gets whipped out.
It’ll be back to business as the week resumes. As always, I encourage you to apply and come join in on the fun! And the work. Especially the work. We just seized some new assets and by the gods, I have NO bloody clue how we’re gonna work it all without some new hands.
It’s a shame nothing interesting is going to happen in Azeroth ever again after this whole death thing is fixed. Nope. Nothing at all. Surely THIS TIME we’ll have solved all our respective issues, and mutual respect and decency shall reign supreme. The universe, at last, shall finally have it’s sh–act, together.

Whether the world calms down a little or not, the East Azeroth Trading Company is always looking for new ventures to make some coin from, new knowledge to expand our potential, and new people to carry it all out! “Cpt. Schatten,” you might ask me. Aye? “Why’re you wearing that spooky bug-eyed mask what makes you really, really hard to understand? Like, beyond the dialect?”
Well, comrade, I am dressed for the hazardous work of our newest venture, started a month or two ago by one of our intrepid Project Leads. She proposed we plunge into Blight-ridden ruins where few dare enter, equipped with cutting edge technology to “safely”* navigate the hazards and extract some samples, liberate some artifacts, that sort of deal! I’m awful excited about it. Just finished training some ComSec staff on how to maneuver in tight quarters for the occasion! Should come join in on the fun, we’ll get a suit fitted for you and everything!
*It’s totally not safe, we’re gonna do our damndest to keep you alive but oh my stars this is insane, why did I sign up for this, I didn’t survive the Siege of Lordaeron to die in a tunnel choked with green goo, someone talk me out of this!
Today, the executive board reviewed the past month’s activities and made preparations for the next. We’re looking at hosting some more social events, expanding on our collaborative efforts - among other things!
And after that, we hung out in the Drag as part of the WRA-H Guild Faire to meet new people and discuss future plans with other guilds. If you haven’t ever been, or it’s been a while since you have, you’re due for a visit. It’s getting bigger every month!
Oh boy! Tuesday! Also known as Humpday eve, or ‘At least it’s not Monday.’
This week EATCo has a few interesting events scheduled including an excursion near the ruins of the Undercity as it stands today, in search of who knows what!
Following that on Friday we have a new event we’ll be testing out for our members to test their creativity and the ability to think on their feet in ‘Invention Convention!’ Sounds like it’ll be a real hoot and a holler!
Until then, be sure to leave out coffee and stale croutons for Wednesday-Claus!
Oy. The venture into the ruins went great. GREAT, I tell you. Nobody’s suit got breached to the point they suffered exposure to lingering Blight. ESPECIALLY not me. Nope. Nuh uh. … So anyway.
We’re holding an invention convention, or something of the sort. Lady Lin’Aryne Barzhad, our Research Director and presiding Chairman of the Executive Board, will be leading us in putting our noggins to work!
Please send help, I’m terrible at this sort of thing. Spellsparks and Richards are gonna come up with something brilliant and I’ll be all “Look, Director! I glued two sticks together!”
Earlier tonight, the company did a little exploration into the market opportunities of ventures like the Darkmoon Faire. Thought exercises and willingness to explore less unconventional opportunities like these is how we try to keep things a little fresh. There’s opportunity to be found anywhere if you’re willing to look!
There’s been a lot of commotion in the infirmary lately following an incident with some Blight exposure. It’s made for a lot of interesting Discord RP.
That should put a little proper fear into peoples’ heart as there’s another delve into Undercity’s blighted ruins scheduled for tomorrow! A special shout out to Moridraine from Research branch for conceptualizing and realizing that whole campaign so far. It’s always good to see people stepping up to share their stories with others!
In the coming week at EATCo, we’ll be participating in the Season’s Exchange market in the Caverns of Time on the thirteenth! Come check out our catalogue and take the chance to talk to some of our employees one on one!
On the fourteenth, our Locate Observe and Document (LOD) team goes out to find a mysterious creature in the dense forests of Stranglethorn! Come see our team in action and maybe get to see the elusive creature we’re looking for!

EATCo is looking forward to tonight’s Orientation where Tamani shows our newest associates and employees who are after a refresher around our campus with a guided tour!

We’ve got a combination of social and adventure RP events, plus some 3rd party games going on this week. Tonight, everyone’s getting together to play some Question Dice: one part destruction dice, other part truth or dare.
After some more games over the weekend, we’ll get more serious with Security taking over some operations in and around Undercity’s ruins. Very dangerous stuff, not for the faint of heart!
By the gods, fridays are easy to lose track of when you only look at the numbers on a calendar, and not the shape.
It’s been a slog lately for some of us, here at the East Azeroth Trading Company. No shortage of things for my Company Security staff to bugger up, of course. That much is always nice. Between subaquatic missions and spelunking into blighted old ruins though, some have begun to question whether or not I might actually like putting my comrades and subordinates in danger.
To that, I can only say… well, if I enjoyed putting them in danger, would we at the EATC provide free medical care in our benefits package, to all employees? And would we staff our clinic with specialists in the Light, Spirits, and the sciences? With healers capable of treating the living and the undead alike?
That, company housing, and a very competitive salary are but a few of the benefits included in service to the Company! Well. You know. Not that you NEED all of that, with such charming folk as yours truly to bask in the presence of. Come on and give us a try! It could be the start of the greatest chapter of your life! Remember,
That astute goblin hunter is correct. We are in fact a fun guild to hang out with. The PLAN-- if it pleases the powers that be, architects of our world, who bid us all lie in slumber for the better part of the day-- is to do a wee bit of privateering tonight with EATC’s Company Security branch. That’s the plan. You know what they say about plans, though. They never survive first contact with server maintenance.
