Heartseeker - Population

Something needs to be done to increase the populations of this realm. I have transfered my main over there in hope of stopping queues instead I found a growing community that’s still empty at moments.

Yesterday there was a 1 hour silence in Orgrimmar.

I opened a ticket to rollback my change and supports says it’s not doable (They don’t want to do it, but the tools certainly can be created).

We need something to balance these realms, or if it’s in the progress then be transparent with it.

I am sorry Ranator, there is currently no way for the GMs or CS staff to reverse free transfers. I don’t expect there ever will be. They may continue to offer other high pop realms transfers to yours though, which would increase your population.

The best thing to do before a transfer, is to make a new character on the target realm to see what you think of it. Only transfer when you are sure of it.

I’d just reroll on to the server you were having fun on. Wow’s not going to add the hardware needed to operate without layering so we are stuck with dead servers or 4 hour ques.

I hate to be the one who says it, but I told you so. wow no longer has the kind of talent that can think through the issues caused by tech they invented to make more money.

If it can go one way, then I don’t see why it can go the other. I understand for balance reasons it’s not possible but sadly i abandonned a 41 character due to that. I started back to a high pop since I don’t want to do quests alone in my world.

At least have a grace period where you can roll back for about an hour after transfer.

That’s the best suggestion I’ve heard yet. It still leaves the subscribers with servers incapable of operating the game properly.

You seem to have a fundamental misunderstanding of that tech, as well as how and why it is being used.

No I’m afraid my understanding is too good, it’s why I get more frustrated than many because I do know exactly what it is and why it was implemented. Just like crz. It is a downgrade of network services so they can trade off performance for quality game play.

Yeah if they don’t do something about this pop or merge us with someone I am absolutely quitting the game.

They’re trying to siphon off people from all the other servers to fix their mistake of creating new low pop servers. Probably end up screwing us on the med-high pop servers hoping to maintain their current pop count.

They should force people on low pop servers to migrate to other low-med pop servers then shut the empty servers down. If people refuse to switch then they just lose their character. They need to push all the people who are spread out together while still offering people on high pop servers a way out.
I would love to switch to Heartseeker but its just too empty

I see Heartseeker at medium population now…which would be more than a vanilla max populated server if my understanding is correct. How can it be so empty?

I’d wait until phase 2 at least…If they switch the disaster that is layering off like they said they would, there’s going to be a lot of servers that either have enormous queues or are completely unplayable due to overcrowding.
That’s going to lead to some pretty major population re-balancing.

Believe it or not, this is the proper vanilla experience. People actually out in the world. WoW is huge, and every place is important. You gain nothing standing around in capital cities like it was post-WotLK

Heartseeker is medium pop in prime time, which is still bigger than a vanilla high pop server.

I’m just happy I can quest or fish without getting ganked every 2mins.

Could maybe be an alliance server? who knows, I didn’t take the free transfer because I knew what would happen, less friends… less tanks, why would people want to go to a server with even LESS tanks and healers.

Server is doing amazing. Unlike all the other pvp realms, we have balanced factions, as well as a healthy and growing population. We were medium all day yesterday, and during peak hours it definitely felt like it was close to being high pop. You see people everywhere, general chat is active, AH is active, you can find groups and people to quest with. We’re good.

I’m on Heartseeker Alliance side and we’re never empty. There’s less people in the morning but there’s always people.

Hey there! Just wanted to point out that Heartseeker is an Alliance dominated server. This is due to players from multiple Full/High Alliance dominated servers were the original batch to transfer in.

Any Horde transfers are likely coming from Sulfuras (Where I play at) or the other server that was able to transfer in this last batch.

Uh no? Server was originally opened to Faerlina and Stalagg. Faerlina was actually fairly balanced, because as the streaming server, it had groupies on both sides of the fence.

Stalagg on the other hand, was and remains one of the absolutely most Horde stacked servers in all of classic (I believe 65/35 by last WoWHead census).

Seems to me that the real reason Heartseeker is Ally dominated (if true) is because Alliance players were fleeing the faction imbalance on their home servers in the first place–not that I blame them.

But the ones who stick it out on Stalagg at least, will have a real easy Rank 14 grind ahead of them.

As I’ve not so much time to play along the day or week, waste so much time in queues is a bummer. I’m thinking seriously about tranfering to Heartseeker, even with it’s low/medium population, and help the server grow. Is better to play than to not play at all - or only play 1h/2h, after spending 3h+ in the queue.
