it shows up in combat or taking damage then it goes away… how do i make it go away for good.

Go to Interface > Names and uncheck Personal Resource Display. That gets rid of it.

haha, just realized the post was so old! Still very useful. I was going through my ‘move anything’ addon and could not find a solution to this.

these options are no longer in this part of the ui. anyone know where it was moved to?

Still in Interface > Names, right under where it says “Unit Nameplates”.

Just uncheck the box for Personal Resource Display.

I figured out how to turn it off the first week after they put it there. I hate the positioning that means it’s always in the way of looting, and the dead zone around it is too big.

Wow, this has been necro’d so many times, not a huge fan of this either and immediately turned it off as soon as it was added. In the future when Blizzard copies addons and puts their own version into the game (which is usually a good thing), i hope they leave them off my default and just make people aware of them via patch notes or whatever. The way this game is set up by default for a new person is pretty awful.

I don’t know what happened a while back, but my raid frames no longer display when I am in a raid. If I convert a party to raid, the party frames disappear and there is no indication that I am even in a group. I figure it was some change to default, but I haven’t been able to figure it out.

If digging through the settings hasn’t solved it for you, perhaps you could try completely resetting everything to the default and then slowly get rid of the stuff you don’t want?

I think the issue is that whatever it is is now the default.

I am in interface > names, and there is no check box there? I have the same issue…
