Healing in WoW - Spell Bloat - Addons

Lol, I didn’t mean that at all and genuinely assumed I was forgetting.

I didn’t have totems as MOs either since they’re not player-targeted skills.

A lot of you are grossly overlooking the main benefit of healbot.

Its so that you can use left middle and right click for 9 of your heals and freeing up your keybinds for dps spells and other cooldowns.

When you venture beyond LFR into mythic and pvp you can no longer just be a turret trying to click heal targets.

Don’t tell these people that. They have a friend’s cousin’s uncle’s brother who heals 20s in xxxxx way so it must be the best.

That’s the reason I haven’t yet forced myself to adjust to mouse over macros. I can rarely think of any times where I haven’t had enough time within a GCD to switch targets.

Well now you’re assuming bad play. Thats an entirely different discussion. Click+press keybind takes barely any more time than just clicking.

You’re just making bad assumptions, honestly. Healing with the default ui is totally doable and will not result in poor play of done correctly. And doing it correctly is literally clicking and pressing a button on your keyboard, thats a fraction of a second added that does not matter.

Did…you read anything I said? :joy:
Shockingly, it’s a-ok for people to have different playstyles. WoW allows for people to excel with ot without addons.
You don’t NEED them, it comes down to preference moreso than skill (most of the time. :p)
That’s the only reason I came into this thread-- to point that out.

But I only really use 4 heals to begin with

Also, the “venture out of LFR” thing is incredibly condescending.

You don’t need the healing addons just like the other healers don’t need to carry the click healer

Yes, you can. You just need good keybinds, thats it. A healing addon is a luxury and nothing more.

Some people strive for more than mediocre and its not a bad thing

Mediocre is going to be mediocre regardless of what addons you try to use to crutch your weak play. The default ui is not going to hinder a healers performance if they are competent with it.

This is funniest thing yet in this super duper funny thread

Clicking vs not clicking is the whole debate.

This is like the guy at the shop trying to argue to me that driving a a standard vs an automatic is the exact same.

No… extra clicks or movements always fall behind. Has nothing to do with how fluent you are or aren’t with no addons

Yep, any step you can remove is better, why do you think we make macros for DPS cooldowns and trinkets? Why don’t we just click them all in a row REALLY fast, I mean it’s only 2 seconds, what’s the difference???

Ok, I use the default UI and no healing addons. I do use mouseovers. And I’d say I do okay - not pushing +20s or CE, which is fine for my play-style and time invested.

That being said, I feel fairly confident that if I bothered to set up a healing add on and learned to use it well, it would probably improve my gameplay.

Outside of details/dbm I have healed through heroic and the first three bosses of nylotha on mythic without addons or serious problems. I have not touched this character after the prepatch though.

No they don’t. If I have to take an action every .75 seconds, I just have to target and heal in .75 seconds. Thats it. It doesn’t mater if I press 15 buttons or 1, as long as I did what I needed to do in .75 seconds, my performance has not suffered at all.

If it takes you 2 seconds to press 2 keys on your keyboard, its a playstyle problem and not a ui problem.

With a comfortable UI arrangement, clicking frames will work fine. This is more or less what my healers’ UI looks like.

Just the act of clicking the box is an action, or is that hard to understand. You’re literally arguing that the sky isn’t blue, btw, just so you know.
