Healers strike

Was just chilling minding my own buisness while scrolling trough reddit and saw a post. Asking all healer/support mains in video games to go on strike due to the toxicity of DPS players in video games.
And that got me thinking what would a healer strike in wow look like? What could it accommplish or issue it would cause? And how much gold could i get to make people pay for my healing?
Edit: im a healer main and i love healing i just wanted to start a discussion and see where it goes

I know what it would look like. Brann would be sitting at his campfire getting potted whilst yelling helpful tips to me.

So, nothing would really change.

I don’t imagine it’ll happen but it’ll essentially result in what happened with the tank nerfs.

Set groups: 0 change

PuGs:
Early season: Easy prog first 4 weeks basically for any spec.
Mid season: Competitive people push higher bulk get KSM/KSH/KSL. Meta forms. Meta bias starts.
End: Big drop off, generally bad pugs cause less critical roles.

What would happen is DPS players will start healing to fill the void, and the old healers will realize the DPS players can heal better than them so they were the problem all along and when someone tells you that you play bad it’s not to hurt your feelings and “be toxic” it’s to inform you about your performance so the right thing to do is not to whine about people talking to you in a game chat box, it’s to consider the possibility they might be right so maybe you need to play better.

Plot twist : healers are just as “toxic”

None. I’ll just pick up the next healer who actually enjoys healing.

LOL. What would happen is that we’d get new healers, and the ‘‘strikers’’ would be left looking silly, before inevitably going back to healing.

The most boosted role in the game trying to act like they’re the most important

It wouldn’t work.

Either people would reroll or just not run.

Yes it isn’t like a problem with people in a specific role, its a general population issue imo.

If bad healers stop queuing, everyone wins!

I’ve never had problems with “toxicity” while healing.

I will never get healer ego… are they even allowed into high keys?

I thought those were 4 dps and a tank.

This is true, only the bad healers would only follow through with the strike.

I only play healer in follower dungeons and solo play… I don’t think anyone would notice

The classic “the game isn’t toxic you just suck and deserve it if people are being mean to you” argument.

It is still true though… ive never understood why its brought up as if its not an abject truth to life.

It is funny how the forum healers pretty much hate any design where they have to actually heal threatening damage, while also hating any design that had large lulls in damage and someone dare mention they could dps instead of watching Netflix during that time.

At this point I’m wondering what the word toxic means to you.

Nobody hates healing more than forum healers

Little if anything. Its one of those sewer surfing words as the kids say. Its meant to convey a negative emotion they can’t type out anymore.
