Heads up about pre orders

Don’t pre order and make the same mistake I did. If by chance you would seek a refund blizz will not let you claiming “significant progress” ie I’ve used the game time already that came with the pre order. I’ve been playing classic for the past few months and haven’t touched retail but maybe 1 or 2 times. I don’t feel it’s right as I’ve had an active sub for a few months why would they use the 30 days that come with shadowlands pre order first. Other than to prevent this scenario. Yea I’m pissed that I now have to contact my bank and open an investigation to get my money refunded but guess that’s what it comes to. Lesson learned, never pre order a blizzard game. Bad business blizz…

Did you get the boost? Or the base version? Also chargeback when a boost was used will nuke your account.

Don’t pre-order Blizzard games anymore. This is not the same company as it used to be… Let them prove their game is worth buying.

Sooo you want to get your account terminated indefinitely?

Basicly the bonus packages are done so you can’t really refund. Threaten legal action if your country has great refund policies. I know denying a refund in Australia is asking for pain.

I tend to agree. Unless you want the pre-order bonuses, there’s not any particular reason to buy the expansion before it’s available for play.

Dont know why people preorder games at all anymore. Back in the day it used to be so you could reserve a copy on release but with everything being digital now it turned preordering into nothing but a trap.

I preordered because;

I liked the bonus. I was at a better financial time of the year than what I predict when it releases. End of year is always more expenses.

Enjoy not playing anymore including Classic… if you do a charge back your account will be locked.

I pre order i game that maybe doesn’t run on my computer anymore…

I want to KMS!

That’s one of the reasons I pre-ordered as well. I knew what I had for money then, I don’t know what I will have for money later.

They fooled me once with Battle For Azeroth, shame on me. They won’t fool me again. BlizzardActivision doesn’t make great games worth pre-ordering.

Disputes are filed with your credit card company when a charge is made without your authorization or under fraudulent terms. Buyers remorse does not fall under either of those.

If I had any inkling or thought of maybe not playing Shadowlands at all I would never pre-order in the first place. I have SL on pre-order cause I pay for everything wow related with all the gold I have stockpiled.

Who cares? All the progress that you have made will eventually not matter at all. Either you quit or blizzard shuts it down.

Is what it is I guess. Shame this is the new normal.

What BlizZard did to you is wrong. You do what think is right. :+1:

The boost is no excuse. The first time they did a boost tied with an expansion, I refunded the expansion and the character was merely locked.

Blizzard claiming that content added in 8.3.7 (Allied race DKs) is Shadowlands content (it isn’t out) and thus constitutes progress would never hold up in court.

No it’s a shame people think buyers remorse is a valid reason to do a charge back. In cases like this banks and credit card company’s should simply refuse to do it

Nothing was added in 8.3.7. Maybe people shouldn’t pre-order things they aren’t completely sure about.
